@Tyler0317
Glad to see Tennessee folks standing up. This is a good playbook, too. I've seen several videos of a single person who tries to disrupt these reprehensible drag story hours. That never works. Bring a group.

👆🏻 The perfect strategy.

I was just gonna post that @Clarion -FL

Why not just disperse the $20 million to private landowners who'd agree to build parts of the wall on _their_ land?

2019-01-13 21:13:48 UTC

Or are good ideas just not a thing for GOP Inc.?

2019-01-13 21:18:20 UTC

Is an org needed to do that?

2019-01-13 21:23:33 UTC

As far as I know, the nonprofit they are starting is going to build as much wall as possible (possibly more cheaply than the government could) by working with private landowners

2019-01-13 21:26:00 UTC

here is their update:
1. The federal government won’t be able to accept our donations anytime soon.
2. We are better equipped than our own government to use the donated funds to build an actual wall on the southern border.
3. Our highly experienced team is highly confident that we can complete significant segments of the wall in less time, and for far less money, than the federal government, while meeting or exceeding all required regulatory, engineering, and environmental specifications.
4. Our team strongly believes that we can complete our segments of the wall for less than half of the government’s estimated costs on a per mile basis.
To show the government how “We the People” can get this done, we have formed a Section 501(c)(4) non-profit Florida Corporation named “We Build the Wall, Inc.” to receive the GoFundMe contributions.

How pathetic does this make the Feds look?

2019-01-13 21:41:36 UTC

Makes you wonder what else American Nationalists could do on their own. Health Care, Schools, etc...

2019-01-13 21:46:11 UTC

Yeah, there’s plenty of rural communities that get on just fine without federal help or involvement. Those are the ones often with the best sense of community and cohesion.

@nord hello!

2019-01-13 22:05:47 UTC

@nord Welcome home!!!

2019-01-13 22:06:04 UTC

Thanks lads nice to see you.

2019-01-13 22:14:56 UTC

Hello, @nord! Today is my first day in the server, too. Everyone here is super welcoming and nice, though!

2019-01-13 22:20:47 UTC

does this act have a chance? should we call representatives about it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaesZc1lk1k

2019-01-13 22:22:50 UTC

Ted Cruz floated this idea shortly after El Chapo’s arrest, and it didn’t go anywhere. Let’s hope it does this time, though, because it’s brilliant.

2019-01-13 22:23:02 UTC

@The Eternal Anglo I'm still holding out hope that it doesn't happen

2019-01-13 22:24:23 UTC

The best part is that it’d also apply to other drug dealers, as he says. It’s great in my opinion, and I hope it gets passed.

2019-01-13 22:24:30 UTC

@nord oh, hey, you made it, nice

2019-01-13 22:24:57 UTC

Yeah I was about to mention that myself thanks for the advice.

2019-01-13 22:29:35 UTC

The El Chapo Act is pretty based in regards to El Chapo's money, however many law enforcement in smaller areas of the nation sustain themselves on the drug money they seize.

2019-01-13 22:31:59 UTC

I assume there’d be discretionary powers in place, meaning that local crack dealers or something wouldn’t be funding the wall or its maintenance, but drug money seized over the border or any money seized from big kingpins would likely fund it.

"The bill is co-sponsored by eleven Republican representatives: Kevin Brady (TX-8), Steve King (IA-4), Louie Gohmert (TX-1), Tom Garrett, Jr. (VA-5), Lamar S. Smith (TX-21), Walter B. Jones, Jr. (NC-3), Paul Gosar (AZ-4), Ron DeSantis (FL-6), Joe Wilson (SC-2), Gary Palmer (AL-6), and Kevin Cramer (ND-At-large)."

2019-01-13 22:33:03 UTC

You had me at Steve King

2019-01-13 22:34:45 UTC

if Dems won't go for it, then it's like, this isn't about funding is it...

2019-01-13 22:35:50 UTC

@nord glad I could help

2019-01-13 22:36:33 UTC

We’ve all known it’s not about funding for a while now. These people are the same ones wanting $40 trillion universal healthcare plans. It’s about this stopping the importation of new voters for them. If they don’t go for it, though, that’ll red-pill more normies on that for sure.

2019-01-13 22:37:46 UTC

@Chris N. - CA yeah exactly, makes it more clear what it's about

2019-01-13 22:37:49 UTC

Well there was that news a few days ago about how I think 5-6 dem house members are already cracking on the wall saying they would 'support a barrier'

2019-01-13 22:38:11 UTC

Even some dems are tiring of this ridiculous stalemate apparently.
