@The Eternal Anglo I'm still holding out hope that it doesn't happen

2019-01-13 22:24:23 UTC

The best part is that it’d also apply to other drug dealers, as he says. It’s great in my opinion, and I hope it gets passed.

2019-01-13 22:24:30 UTC

@nord oh, hey, you made it, nice

2019-01-13 22:24:57 UTC

Yeah I was about to mention that myself thanks for the advice.

2019-01-13 22:29:35 UTC

The El Chapo Act is pretty based in regards to El Chapo's money, however many law enforcement in smaller areas of the nation sustain themselves on the drug money they seize.

2019-01-13 22:31:59 UTC

I assume there’d be discretionary powers in place, meaning that local crack dealers or something wouldn’t be funding the wall or its maintenance, but drug money seized over the border or any money seized from big kingpins would likely fund it.

"The bill is co-sponsored by eleven Republican representatives: Kevin Brady (TX-8), Steve King (IA-4), Louie Gohmert (TX-1), Tom Garrett, Jr. (VA-5), Lamar S. Smith (TX-21), Walter B. Jones, Jr. (NC-3), Paul Gosar (AZ-4), Ron DeSantis (FL-6), Joe Wilson (SC-2), Gary Palmer (AL-6), and Kevin Cramer (ND-At-large)."

2019-01-13 22:33:03 UTC

You had me at Steve King

2019-01-13 22:34:45 UTC

if Dems won't go for it, then it's like, this isn't about funding is it...

2019-01-13 22:35:50 UTC

@nord glad I could help

2019-01-13 22:36:33 UTC

We’ve all known it’s not about funding for a while now. These people are the same ones wanting $40 trillion universal healthcare plans. It’s about this stopping the importation of new voters for them. If they don’t go for it, though, that’ll red-pill more normies on that for sure.

2019-01-13 22:37:46 UTC

@Chris N. - CA yeah exactly, makes it more clear what it's about

2019-01-13 22:37:49 UTC

Well there was that news a few days ago about how I think 5-6 dem house members are already cracking on the wall saying they would 'support a barrier'

2019-01-13 22:38:11 UTC

Even some dems are tiring of this ridiculous stalemate apparently.

2019-01-13 22:52:34 UTC

Would it be worth calling GOP and politely saying that you support Steve King?

2019-01-13 22:52:46 UTC

That stuff about Watson makes me sick

2019-01-13 22:52:53 UTC

He had some pretty based comments tho

2019-01-13 22:53:12 UTC

Forbes: "How the shutdown is a win for Trump's authoritarian agenda."

2019-01-13 22:53:38 UTC

You're joking...

2019-01-13 22:53:42 UTC

This is supposed to make people who read Forbes dislike Trump and authoritarianism?

2019-01-13 22:53:49 UTC

Lol exactly

2019-01-13 22:54:07 UTC

I wonder what the Forbes demographic is

2019-01-13 22:54:27 UTC

@Alec - OH nope. Media is going hard on Russia and Trump after a brief pause. They tried to pause to regain credibility a month or so before Nov 2016 and it totally backfired on them.

2019-01-13 22:54:38 UTC

90% white males earning over 100k/yr? Lol

2019-01-13 22:54:57 UTC

No I mean about the Forbes article

2019-01-13 22:55:13 UTC

bingo. Used some airline miles to get a financial times sub. Instant regret. They are way more never Trump than I would have guessed.

2019-01-13 22:55:39 UTC

GQ has went full cringe unfortunately

2019-01-13 22:55:57 UTC

@Alec - OH yea I just meant "nope" as in "not joking" then I proceeded to talk about something indirectly related which was confusing.

2019-01-13 22:56:49 UTC

I highly doubt G.W. Would be pleased

2019-01-13 22:58:37 UTC

We'd need to convince 19 Democrat representatives to get the wall, it looks like

2019-01-13 22:58:44 UTC

plus all the Republicans

2019-01-13 22:59:17 UTC

19 anti pelosi dems could buckle maybe.

2019-01-13 23:00:13 UTC

it seems more likely than Rs giving up at this point. It would be a top 10 anime betrayal if McConnell quit on Trump now that the shutdown has proven to be popular.

2019-01-13 23:01:00 UTC

wait

2019-01-13 23:01:11 UTC

I thought popular opinion was against him

2019-01-13 23:02:05 UTC

I'm almost certain the polls saying that are just a smokescreen to counter polls showing it turning in his favor.

2019-01-13 23:02:47 UTC

I wonder what our country would be like if it was still just white males with the vote 🤔

2019-01-13 23:03:31 UTC

Considering the fact that we pay the majority of tax revenue and take the least welfare we have the greatest claim to voting rights

2019-01-13 23:08:50 UTC

I wouldn't mind a Roman/Greek approach to voting
