book changed my life

2019-01-28 01:29:42 UTC

Thank you.

2019-01-28 01:30:00 UTC

It's quite good. I stole louis from NY's copy lol.

2019-01-28 01:30:13 UTC

doubled my deadlift

2019-01-28 01:30:23 UTC

I read BAP's book. It's garbage, but it's a half-decent meme

2019-01-28 01:30:27 UTC

About 3/4 way through, go back to it after reading other stuff. Slowly plotting my way through.

2019-01-28 01:30:49 UTC

how's it garbage?

2019-01-28 01:30:57 UTC

I’m pretty sure BAP is gay

2019-01-28 01:31:10 UTC

eh, it's a mixture between pop-sociology and psychology, but I find it surprisingly profound at times.

2019-01-28 01:31:17 UTC

BAP is not gay, @DixieBoy76 - KY

2019-01-28 01:31:27 UTC

well, uh, for one thing BAP's organization is awful, his writing is all over the place, and it clearly never got edited

2019-01-28 01:31:31 UTC

My bad.

2019-01-28 01:31:35 UTC

I had heard he was

2019-01-28 01:31:44 UTC

that was the point, rules are stoopid

2019-01-28 01:31:48 UTC

for another BAP's comments are repeats of what people have said for a little while now

2019-01-28 01:32:08 UTC

yes, well, BAP's breaking them makes him sound like an idiot

2019-01-28 01:32:17 UTC

He's been accused of that by others in the past, but it's baseless. @DixieBoy76 - KY

2019-01-28 01:32:25 UTC

the problem is that in tweet form it works, but in 78 pages it's a bit much

2019-01-28 01:32:27 UTC

What do the police car emojis mean on my comment?

2019-01-28 01:32:37 UTC

Did I violate a rule?

2019-01-28 01:32:38 UTC

_if_ the book was meant to be satire, it's brilliant

2019-01-28 01:32:52 UTC

i hate all the stupid rules for writing, no reason at all to follow them

2019-01-28 01:33:16 UTC

Not exactly. We're a secular organization, so quoting a bible verse to members who might be agnostic or Pagan won't really mean much to them. @DixieBoy76 - KY

2019-01-28 01:33:23 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY We try to stay away from religious discussion on the server.

2019-01-28 01:33:30 UTC

My apologies

2019-01-28 01:33:38 UTC

Won’t let it happen again

2019-01-28 01:33:53 UTC

in any case: Jack Donovan makes many of the same arguments as BAP and sometimes the _exact_ same arguments as BAP: the anti-feminism arguments, the ones about "man is a producer", the anti-modernism

2019-01-28 01:33:55 UTC

It's fine in the right context.

2019-01-28 01:34:32 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY I don't care much, just giving a subtle nudge to be careful what you're posting in <#481597551272001546>.

2019-01-28 01:34:51 UTC

i loved the part about Alcibiades, Bob Denard, and the other pirate like people

2019-01-28 01:35:37 UTC

@Salo Saloson so your main critique is his style and the fact that some of the book feels derivative.

2019-01-28 01:36:13 UTC

there's one or two more, but sure

2019-01-28 01:36:55 UTC

That's fair.

2019-01-28 01:36:58 UTC

I have BAP book. It is next on queue after Tucker's

2019-01-28 01:37:05 UTC

I disagree, but I see why you would feel that way.

2019-01-28 01:37:07 UTC

you're in for a trip, Ape

2019-01-28 01:37:11 UTC

I liked most of bap before the bap content got very saturated

2019-01-28 01:37:14 UTC

BAP book was good for sparking an interest a paradigm different than the one we have now

2019-01-28 01:37:17 UTC

Whatever that may be
