I'm looking through these leftist debunking videos to see if any of them are any good
I'm about 8 minutes into this one and the guy is pretty obnoxious and the arguments are bad
I love Red Ice
Have you ever seen contrapoints
I've done that too... Not really any talking points to refute them, just the standard name calling. @Jacob
If you want “obnoxious with bad arguments” look no further
Lana makes the point that if you're going to hold Europeans responsible for colonialism, you should do the same for non-European groups, and the guy basically just responds "that's irrelevant"
@ophiuchus contrapoints?
Yeah sorry
Bluescreened
I don't understand how people can take him/her seriously (I genuinely don't know what it identifies as)
Me neither
In either instance
Man I went to some college campuses today in my area and I think they were only about 25% white. Its changed so much since I attended.
I saw them described as “the modern Oscar Wilde fighting the alt right” and I cringed so hard it took 5 years off my life
>Oscar Wilde
Gay
Well this person is gay^2 so
Makes sense.
@Bogl - CA started my semester today and I always count how many whites to non whites in the class....not good
Anyway, I've been thinking of sending my friends Red Ice videos but I was a little worried that the first thing that comes up on Google if they look it up are these "debunking" videos. You guys think that that damages my credibility, or does the poor quality of the debunking speak for itself?
Keep in mind that just because a leftist argument is easy for *us* to respond to, doesn't mean it won't be compelling to someone else who isn't as far into this stuff as we are
Red ice is good, but I really like sending Jared Taylor to normies.
eh
Like that Jared Taylor video with Tree of Life the other day. God bless that man.
Remember that people will see the word “debunked,” not even watch the video, and be like “oh well I guess it’s btfo”
People will maintain their vision of reality no matter what- we will to, to an extent. Everyone does.
I like the red ice videos from about a year ago. Concise and hard hitting. Not overly edited.
I think for AmRen you already have to have a pretty analytical personality that few people have. Don't get me wrong, AmRen is basically what brought me in, and I think it's necessary to reach people with very analytical personalities, but, there's a reason that AmRen gets like 30,000 views per video while Red Ice regularly breaks 300,000
We have to remember to talk to people in a way that appeals to them
I actually really dislike the new red ice videos. They are so over the top with the editing lately. I actually want to cut half of the video off.
@ophiuchus Ya, that's what I'm worried about. Though maybe that's only an issue for people who are already deeply into liberal politics?
When talking to the general population, emotional appeals > logical arguments
ya that's why I consider Red Ice to be better introductory content
I wouldn't send AmRen to someone unless they're already pretty deeply interested in race relations and politics
The majority of the population doesn’t think about issues logically, on both sides of the spectrum. We’re much better off creating better emotional arguments that trying in vain to convince everyone to be incredibly rationalist about this
Most of us are here because of autism
Having a black woman (tree of life) agree with Jared Taylor gives white people permission to take his points seriously.
It's how they work.
Autistic rationalism made us realize all of this earlier than most people will
White people look for how minorities react before listening to race debates.
I agree with that @ophiuchus
