A member of a sympathetic NRx group who works for the railroad sent me this job information:

This company will hire virtually anyone who can pass a drug test and is willing to travel 6wks at a time (and sometimes there are advantages to getting away, if things heat up too much).

The job is dirty manual labor in a 100% travel environment (6 weeks on/2 off). They pay hotel and airfare, you're responsible for food. It's roughly 80hrs/wk, very manual, dirty work at first (figure on the first 3mos or so being especially menial, til you move up; hydraulic hose repair, wiring, oil changes on the machine, etc). Crews spend 100% of their time together. You might be the only white guy on a given crew. Lots of cons, but also some pros, pay is in the neighborhood of $1000/wk after taxes. I'd be happy to vouch for anyone giovanni would vouch for, have him give your number to me, etc.
My description is of the general laborer one
Note: I'm not the hirer.
I'm employed in the position, and have a rapport going back 3yrs w them
Engineering students might be more interested in the summer internship ones.
Good experienced mechanics and superintendents there max out at around 100k, new guys start at 45k"

Neighbor says I had two cops and an “official looking woman” show up at my house while my wife and I were gone. They were asking my neighbor about me and all this. He told them yeah, yeah nice family and all that (I know my neighbor very well). I called sheriffs dept. to ask what the issue was and she said I would have to call back tomorrow when the officers were on duty and that they were “assisting another department when they visited me”

I’ve heard some pretty funny RS gym stories

2019-02-02 01:25:05 UTC

If anyone has any advice for us we would appreciate it ^ never been in trouble with the law, either of us, and have no idea what it could be about.

2019-02-02 01:28:43 UTC

Pretty unusual stuff... Have you got a friend or family member in the police force or practicing law? You'd probably be better off asking them.

2019-02-02 01:29:16 UTC

@DaddyPaddy - FL Best advice is don't talk to them.

2019-02-02 01:29:25 UTC

I am not a lawyer

2019-02-02 01:29:50 UTC

Yeah, that’s what I’m hearing all around is don’t talk. Have no idea what it could be about though.

2019-02-02 01:30:02 UTC

Please guys let Richard sculpt his moobs in peace

2019-02-02 01:30:48 UTC

You can't know what it could be or what you might say that could be used against you. If they don't have a warrant for your arrest, politely tell them you don't want to talk to them and don't open the door.

2019-02-02 01:31:16 UTC

It's not like they have to tell you the truth about why they're there.

2019-02-02 01:41:37 UTC

I want to as well

2019-02-02 01:41:40 UTC

Nor do I

2019-02-02 01:41:57 UTC

I did once

2019-02-02 01:44:29 UTC

It is good to know what could go sour when talking to police (they can legally lie, they can use everything against you, etc.) but 100% of the time I've talked to police, being respectful, helpful, and friendly has paid dividends. They are professionals but any human you talk to is going to be made very suspicious and irritated if you immediately go Sovereign Citizen on them, especially when they are there to serve mundane papers or interview you about something someone else did.
