NES games on a gba sp is better

2019-05-28 14:22:07 UTC

But someone who games regularly will generally not play one single game

2019-05-28 14:22:12 UTC

And even only those you mentionned

2019-05-28 14:22:24 UTC

I got a 2* ryzen laptop. Its good

2019-05-28 14:22:30 UTC

So either you're gonna have to have the power to run 'everything'

2019-05-28 14:22:41 UTC

Or you're gonna restrict yourself to a selection of older/less demanding games

2019-05-28 14:22:43 UTC

I saw some video where a fecker was playing GTA5 on some onboard graphics. Shit wasn't great looking, but seemed entirely playable.

2019-05-28 14:22:49 UTC

Some fucko wizardry to be sure.

2019-05-28 14:23:04 UTC

or just drop the quality down to sane levels

2019-05-28 14:23:12 UTC

current AAA games look nice even on medium settings

2019-05-28 14:23:20 UTC

Medium, yeah, low/very low, nah

2019-05-28 14:23:37 UTC

Even for medium settings (and decent framerate) you're gonna need a beast (for a laptop)

2019-05-28 14:23:53 UTC

some do in low but yeah in low-very low mark it starts to become up to devs if they wanted to see effort for those

2019-05-28 14:24:09 UTC

You can drop like 600 and be perfectly fine

2019-05-28 14:24:38 UTC

1050/ti is good enough, vidya is a meme tho

2019-05-28 14:25:14 UTC

Intel

2019-05-28 14:25:14 UTC

Even on desktop 1050 is very barely appropriate for 'serious' gaming

2019-05-28 14:25:20 UTC

Jajajaja

2019-05-28 14:25:54 UTC

Pro gamer larpers are prime market

2019-05-28 14:26:13 UTC

Yeah and?

2019-05-28 14:26:23 UTC

?

2019-05-28 14:26:47 UTC

What I'm trying to point out is that the kind of performance you get for those mid/high end laptop could be achieved for a way cheaper pricemark on desktop

2019-05-28 14:26:57 UTC

!

2019-05-28 14:26:58 UTC

+ upgradeability

2019-05-28 14:27:04 UTC

Wow

2019-05-28 14:27:16 UTC

can someone write this down? that's some incredible findings

2019-05-28 14:27:26 UTC

Youre a genius mate

2019-05-28 14:27:51 UTC

ikr

2019-05-28 14:27:58 UTC

Im still playing the normie popular games fine on a 5 year old i3 and a 750ti

2019-05-28 14:28:16 UTC

Lowest settings on an older CPU.

2019-05-28 14:28:38 UTC

I got a gaymer meme a few years ago but vr made it worthwhile

2019-05-28 14:30:10 UTC

The thing is, with the price difference of a gaming desktop vs gaming laptop you could buy yourself a lightweight laptop and remotely do whatever you want on your desktop without that much of a difference in useability

2019-05-28 14:30:37 UTC

^

2019-05-28 14:31:35 UTC

It might have not been possible 5 years+ ago, but nowadays it's very much doable with very little effort

2019-05-28 14:32:01 UTC

Just ssh in for rendering, normie shit like videos, word processing etc is fine on a laptop

2019-05-28 14:32:22 UTC

Yeah

2019-05-28 14:32:38 UTC
