i've gotten more comfortable with buying things off taobao so i think i'll try something more ambitious with my next mh755 journey

2019-06-17 20:11:58 UTC

i have some clear 9.2mm shells in my cart that i plan on transplanting some mh755 drivers into

2019-06-17 20:16:12 UTC

i also still have my fake vivo xe800 shells which seem to fit fine, but can't really make them detachable cable in any way because they're too small for any type of connector

2019-06-17 20:20:26 UTC

Anyone got any experience with the FiiO K3?

2019-06-17 20:20:32 UTC

Thinking of picking one up

@Windatica I plan on trying to transplant MH755 driver into SE215 shell

2019-06-17 22:08:55 UTC

It's gonna look really ass though since the driver is a full 2mm in diameter bigger than the SE215 one

2019-06-17 22:25:55 UTC

i also have these but i have no idea whatsoever on how to use them

2019-06-17 22:26:11 UTC

i have a cable that looks like it uses these connectors too, which isnt helpful

2019-06-17 23:14:55 UTC

I'm after a 0.75mm 2-pin BT cable, but decent quality, the one I got off aliexpress the battery dies too quickly and the range is bad.
price isn't an issue but want decent battery life and range etc

@Windatica How did you attach the mmcx conntectors? Did you strip the ends of the wires to the iems to solder to the mmcx, then pushed the whole lot inside the housing? Did it affect the acoustics of the iems?

if you're asking about the mh755, then all you do is remove the old cable entirely and drill a hole big enough to stick mmcx connectors into, i don't think it changes the sound at all because the driver and where it is contained is seperate from the parts that are modified

2019-06-18 12:42:37 UTC

i think it would be possible to remove the back of the mh755 entirely and probably have little to no effect on the sound'

2019-06-20 22:05:52 UTC

is there a guide I can check or do I have to ask here?
