Any battery brands for Thinkpads that arent hot garbage? The one I got for my x230 off amazon started failing after a couple months

2019-10-01 00:00:13 UTC

iirc the brand I bought was "LMK" but that was just a sticker over a "Cloundwind" logo

2019-10-01 00:07:49 UTC

IMK

2019-10-01 00:47:39 UTC

I've been summoned.

2019-10-01 00:49:28 UTC

@I Faw Down Buy a legit one for parts so you can get the charging circuit and replace the cells with crazy autistic flashlight batteries for quintuple battery life with enough amperage to jump start a medium size gas car engine.

2019-10-01 00:51:08 UTC

Can I not do that with the non-legit battery I already have?

2019-10-01 00:51:30 UTC

Probably fine

2019-10-01 00:52:13 UTC

I've got the Lenovo one thats at like 60% of its original charge and the shit one at like 38%

2019-10-01 00:52:18 UTC

I'm always unreasonably paranoid about cheap Chinese crap when it comes to batteries, since they fail rather catastrophically when they go

2019-10-01 00:53:12 UTC

oi tims

2019-10-01 00:53:54 UTC

i was enlightened by the good folks here about xiaomi phones and i was wondering if there was other chink shit that was miles ahead of the game price/perf wise

2019-10-01 00:54:45 UTC

As long as you take the time to check behavior over a couple charge cycles you should be fine, everyone uses cheap Chinese charging circuits for their projects. Gotta make sure it stops when it's empty/full, and feeds in reasonable amount of volts/amps, but they're less delicate than people make them out to be.

2019-10-01 00:55:52 UTC

@neetdev Depends. Price/performance, yes, performance alone, ehhh. Whatcha need, gadgets, tools, home decor bullshit, etc?

2019-10-01 00:56:29 UTC

anything that stands out?

2019-10-01 00:56:41 UTC

just general qol improvements

2019-10-01 00:57:21 UTC

Well if you're here you're probably an antisocial autistic weirdo, so flashlights and keyboards are popular

2019-10-01 00:57:33 UTC

Wireless earbuds too

2019-10-01 00:57:40 UTC

got muh keyboard all set, flashlights i dunno

2019-10-01 00:57:46 UTC

2019-10-01 00:58:41 UTC

i mean china has the first usb-c fast charge flashlight

2019-10-01 00:58:46 UTC

I've been summoned to discuss autistic Chinese shopping, do I seem the type to leave my house and need earbuds?

2019-10-01 00:58:58 UTC

i dunno you mentionned them

2019-10-01 00:59:12 UTC

2019-10-01 01:13:38 UTC
