sadly "not too botnet" comes only with money

2019-04-10 16:11:04 UTC

not that you need to connect any of those things to internet

2019-04-10 16:11:12 UTC

(or let the apps connect internet on some cases)

2019-04-10 18:22:12 UTC

@Tervy got any links for said gps anti gibs trackers?

2019-04-10 18:27:37 UTC

disclaimer i dont know how bad the apps/pcb/etc on those are all i know they exist and have worked at least twice successfully on same bike

2019-04-10 18:28:50 UTC

also consider local laws about tracking unsuspecting people etc

2019-04-10 18:29:51 UTC

other good countermeasure as theft prevention is https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Anti-Theft-Vibration-Motorcycle-Waterproof/dp/B0734QN8KR these kind of litle things

2019-04-10 18:30:08 UTC

glued and/or ziptied under the sadle if possible

2019-04-10 18:30:23 UTC

they are loud as fuck and trigger on vibration

2019-04-10 18:30:36 UTC

(tho they will trigger if the bike falls over/somebody kicks it/etc

2019-04-10 18:31:13 UTC

them having remote also makes it good toy to sit on cafe and spook people walking on street next to your bike

2019-04-10 18:46:27 UTC

yeah for theft @Matthew

2019-04-10 22:16:56 UTC

Getting a soldering iron from Ali
Yay or Nay?

2019-04-11 13:26:28 UTC

there's some good ones

2019-04-11 13:26:51 UTC

TS80/TS100, T12 clone off the top of my head

2019-04-11 13:27:03 UTC

I'll check those out

2019-04-11 13:27:24 UTC

the former are plug and play mostly, but you need to provide a power supply yourself

2019-04-11 13:27:47 UTC

the latter is usually with a built in PSU but you need to get a decent one and/or do mods to it (which require another soldering iron) like properly grounding it

2019-04-11 14:16:04 UTC

>73 eurobux

2019-04-11 15:50:40 UTC

it has pretty much 0 competition in what its supposed to be

2019-04-11 15:50:48 UTC

so yes, they can charge $70+

2019-04-11 16:12:31 UTC

even a soldering iron is usb c now but fucking bluetooth speakers? noooooooo

2019-04-11 19:36:59 UTC

Normies can't into USB C

2019-04-11 19:37:44 UTC

But people that are using soldering irons, are most likely competent enough to understand how to USB C

2019-04-11 20:36:58 UTC

if you are looking for a non portable, option, I have this and uses the t12 tips that are internally heated cartridges in hakko irons. Heat up time is really good. Gets to 350c in less than 5 secs for sure

2019-04-11 20:38:30 UTC

KSGER does sell already completed kits if you dont want to DIY it too

2019-04-11 20:39:21 UTC

yeah that's the second option i mentioned

2019-04-11 20:39:32 UTC

i got it from the same store and mine wasn't grounded

2019-04-11 20:39:36 UTC

neither the case nor the tip

2019-04-11 20:39:46 UTC

the case not being grounded can be bad for your health

2019-04-11 20:39:55 UTC

the tip not being grounded can be bad for your components health

2019-04-11 20:41:54 UTC

bad all around

2019-04-11 22:58:55 UTC
