For example, someone who believes that women should avoid having a career, but should have the same legal rights as men, would be left wing in saudi arabia, but right wing in America.
Also, someone who believes Islam should be protected by blasphemy laws is right wing in the middle east, but the liberal prime minster in Canada.

While someone who believes you should be able to say anything, no matter how hateful, against islam and muslims is a far left radical in every muslim country, but a right wing racist in the west.
I guess I just didn't think about the compass for countries that are not western.
Political compasses are really not too useful in general.
Yeah, being moral makes you authoritarian.
You can be center right if you are strongly for capitalism but kindof ok with degeneracy, but you can also be center right if you hate degeneracy but think socialism might have a few merits.
And there is also that.
Which is pretty dumb because I always advocate both morality and liberty.
If you have very strick personal morals, but are willing to tolerate people who don't follow them, you will agree on policy with a lot of people on the left.
But you will be placed on the right.
Or if you are placed on the left, then you will be placed with people who you disagree with on most issues other than policy.
Also, someone who leans left on most issues, but doesn't have a strong opinion on those issues, but has a few right wing issues that they care about a whole lot (like immigration) will be placed on the left, even though they would likely vote right.
