Seems to me that major world religions all have some dark parts historically. I feel that Islam hasn't moved on and is still in it's dark age. I'm not familiar enough with it's tennents to know if it can. But it is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion. Current day though, I agree. It's pretty bad.

And yes, Islam hasn't modernized and won't with most of its 1.6 billion adherents.

I disagree, I think there is going to be a resurgance of traditional Christianity in Europe, in the near future.

Islam has always been and will probably always be viewed as an foreign presence within Europe.
