A man should be able support at least a family of four by working 40 hours per week at anything other than an entry level job
What would you determine to be an entry level job?
Automation affects different sectors of work differently. The technology is also still being tested/implemented. It's really a matter of time before it's more than feasible to replace entire industries of workers. It also creates jobs for those who can code/repair these systems, so it probably depends on who's replacing whom: mostly middle aged, high school educated whites being replaced by STEM subcons.
not starbucks barrista or other things that are usually just high school summer job stuff
it would depend on whats going on in the particular year
enough to raise a family and still have some disposable income too
and thats just the bare minimum, theres no problem with reaching for more
Also, while many things currently can be automated, and really many things are, the tech is not yet widespread enough to bring the costs and availability down to a level where it's worth investing in. That floodgate will break though, and break quickly.
@DeusVolk Only issue with the "learn to code" meme, while funny, you don't need 150+ guys fixing a system when it goes down
if a man cant support a family of 4 with 40 hours, the system has unequivoacably failed completely
It's not 40 hours or how much you get paid
its the most barest of bare minimums
all of that is irrelevant
What matters is the local area costs to you, if property taxes are high, well you're fucked
I don't know how to feel about automation. On one side, it has the potential to make immigrants useless, but, at the same time, it can harm poor whites.
If gas or food is high, hell even rent, you're fucked
The desire of the "elites" to bring in immigrants isn't really economically based. Automation will have no effect on the calls for increased immigration.
Okay something far more important has come to my attention

Unbelievable.
Amazing
I am going now
Higher billing than Rick Perry
I wanna meet him
I'm sure that applies to some of the elites, but I doubt that most of the elites are obsessed with replacing white people for the sake of it. I'm sure your average business elite wouldn't care enough to support immigration once the economic incentive dries up. @Grenadier
obviously if local costs of living are high so should be the wages because demanding that people commute more than 40 minutes absolute max is a waste of both personal time and national resources via fuel
Why not hot younger La Pen?
who cares about her
Her speech was fire last year
YOU NEVER KNOW **WHO** IS GONNA COME ON THAT STAGE
The reality is that we have plenty for the workforce, the financial incentive that big business uses for immigration is about driving costs down, not necessity. That also won't change with automation, there will always be labor costs to cut.
in an ideal country commuting would be no more than 30 minutes, preferably 20 minutes
Man cpac must be struggling to find speakers
God, conservatism is so boring
Most of these people are probably just gonna drone on about taxes
Should have got that guy that runs IE.
