The Penn state rapist, also known as loftus, raped 17 women between 1975 and 2003, and killed six others in his home in a bizarre incident that remains unsolved. (Published Friday, August 31, 2017)

While on probation, the suspect made a phone call with an undercover cop that prompted the undercover officers to approach Penn State, the lawsuit states.

The suspect allegedly asked the cop for help obtaining a gun and an illegal handgun, according to the suit.

The man called his father in Texas to say he wanted a weapon to kill Penn State officials, according to the suit. The father showed up at a Penn State facility, and several guns and ammo were later recovered, the suit states.

At that point, Penn State police, including undercover trooper Andrew B. Clements, learned from another police force that the suspect is also a Penn State alum, and "they recognized that the name of Clements and his affiliation may not be sufficient to get the person a gun," the suit states.

The undercover officer also learned the suspect has "a history of drug offenses and attempted murder of the individual that did appear to be his mother, who she had been told was one of the women who worked at Penn State's counseling center", according to the suit.
