But Iā€™m a psychologist at Stanford University! (Sure, sure. Take your meds now, Professor.)

2019-06-11 23:59:10 UTC

I'm saving that

2019-06-11 23:59:22 UTC

Be my guest, lol.

2019-06-11 23:59:32 UTC

We can all agree psychology is a fake science

2019-06-11 23:59:40 UTC

I once heard a crazier story

2019-06-11 23:59:48 UTC

A TED ED actually

2019-06-12 00:01:56 UTC

A guy pretended to be insane in court to cheat jail time (5 years) and was sent to the mad house. He told the doctors there that he was normal but they kept him in there. He told the journalist (the guy speaking at the Ted Ed) that he was diagnosed with psychopathy for lying in court like that.

2019-06-12 00:02:13 UTC

Psychopathy diagnosis is straight out of a book from Kafka

2019-06-12 00:02:18 UTC

is this you Derek Nelson?

2019-06-12 00:02:33 UTC

not doxxing you (sorry if its seems like I am) but I'm really close to stanford

2019-06-12 00:03:18 UTC

After being diagnosed, you can show that you do have remorse but the doctors just say you are faking it to trick people as psychopaths do.

2019-06-12 00:03:23 UTC

Nope. Not me. Sounds like a great guy tho.

2019-06-12 00:03:31 UTC

The guy ended up at the facility for 11 years

2019-06-12 00:04:39 UTC

Wow Hamburger talk about Karma

2019-06-12 00:04:41 UTC

Goes to show that telling the truth would have set him free much earlier. šŸ˜Š

2019-06-12 00:04:47 UTC

Amen, Derek

2019-06-12 00:05:08 UTC

Lol the point of that story was to show the arbitrariness of psychology

2019-06-12 00:06:30 UTC

I think it was appropriate, tbh. Justice was still served. Heh.

2019-06-12 00:06:45 UTC

He catches the wise in their Craftiness, Derek

2019-06-12 00:06:47 UTC

šŸ˜ƒ

2019-06-12 00:06:57 UTC

Word, Brian. šŸ‘šŸ’Æ

2019-06-12 00:07:23 UTC

3 months after being released he was charged on another less serious crime

2019-06-12 00:08:54 UTC

Btw today I was reading on gamma knife surgery

2019-06-12 00:09:05 UTC

Pretty interesting stuff

2019-06-12 00:09:48 UTC

I have a theory that the government specifically propagates violence here and in other countries so they slowly commit more and more atrocities that are worse

2019-06-12 00:10:07 UTC

like, American warplanes literally bombed a school bus in syria

2019-06-12 00:10:12 UTC

even the main stream media covered it

2019-06-12 00:10:15 UTC

but nobody cared

2019-06-12 00:10:17 UTC

But hey that's just a theory... a game theory!

2019-06-12 00:11:23 UTC

@Magical Sheep one of the only things most of the American populace agrees on is that war is bad. Yet nearly all the politicians have a trigger finger.

2019-06-12 00:11:36 UTC

It's called predictive programming and desensitizing the populace to morality and in effect placing them in direct opposition to God

2019-06-12 00:11:39 UTC

Just my .02

2019-06-12 00:12:05 UTC

I think it's horrible desensitization

2019-06-12 00:12:21 UTC

people don't care about violence because violence is an everyday thing

2019-06-12 00:12:31 UTC

God wants peace

2019-06-12 00:12:37 UTC

If that was the plan it kind of sucks I mean Vietnam vets were spat at
