what i dont understand are ads, like, whats the point of popping up an ad, how is that gonna help sell anything you are trying to sell, if anything, its gonna make the user angry about it

Yet some do click and buy. If you do a million ads and only sell 100. Well for many companies that is very good. For some even if only one in a million buys.
