Although animals are not the same as humans, the used animals in the studies are mammals. Also gmos arent always bad. Its just usually the farmers (and the fish companies) creating certain gmos that encourage bad policies. Like pesticide resistant crops allowing them to use more pesticide. Not all of these mutations are bad that farmers use, but some of them definetly are very bad
