Before the week is out, I am urging *YOU* to have called *Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory* at (516) 367-8800 and politely tell them how disappointed you are over their treatment of James Watson.
ICYMI: James Watson is a renowned scientist who shares credit for the discovery of the structure of DNA. He also acknowledges the genetic component to IQ and thus the relationship between race and IQ. For this, his lab cut ties with him and withdrew all of this honors earlier this month.
I will be promoting this campaign daily here as well as on my twitter. I’ve just announced this on the Media Slack server.
Phone tips:
-Stay cool, polite, and above reproach
-‘I support scientific discovery/advancement/progress but the treatment of Mr. Watson is obviously political and unacceptable.’
-‘Mr. Watson is clearly earnest and should be heard rather than silenced.’

If we take a moment of our time this week, we could easily land in several hundred phone calls in the next few days. While the chances of a reversal in their decision are low, the lab needs to know that not everyone simply accepts their anti science acquiescence.
