By now, many of you have seen the *Daily Stormer* article regarding Discord. I have a few things to say on the subject, but I want to first remind everyone to remain calm and approach this with a level head.

1. Many of the Discord servers that have been leaked in recent months -- TWP and PF in particular -- have likely had bad opsec. In the case of TWP, **they had an open Discord invite on their website.** IE also doesn't discuss illegal or unethical behavior -- nor do we engage in it -- so leaks from our Discord would be less damning.

2. Anglin is incorrect about the Charlottesville server being secure, assuming he's referring to the same one I'm thinking of. Invites were handed out in a careless manner, and everyone knew the server was compromised but chose to continue using it anyway for some reason. (I had no part in this, for the record, as I did not plan the event.)

3. The fact that the SPLC is working with Discord in some unspecified capacity is cause for concern, although I think people are blowing this out of proportion. The idea that you're going to have your life ruined because you posted anonymously in a Discord server seems really insane to me -- fearmongering at its worst. The TWP server was leaked, and yet there were, to my knowledge, no mass doxings.

4. With that said, migrating to another platform is likely a good decision in the long run. We're looking into alternatives right now. However, keep in mind that **if other groups being using platform X -- yet still employ sloppy opsec -- people could start freaking out about platform X being compromised** and whatnot. At some point, people will have to accept responsibility for poor opsec practices.

5. As previously stated, keep a level head. Discord deleted our original server after Charlottesville, and yet no one was doxed, nothing was leaked, etc.

With regard to the subpoenas issued to Discord:

First, it appears that those Discord users who received notice of the subpoena were only users specifically named in the subpoena. That is, there is no general subpoena to “every account on Discord."

Second, we are in the process of retaining a First Amendment attorney in California (where the subpoena must be resolved) who, in collaboration with Kyle Bristow and in coordination with IE leadership, will file a motion to quash the subpoena on behalf of all the users named in it.

The grounds for the motion lie in the First Amendment’s freedom of assembly and freedom of speech; there is a healthy body of case law designed to protect the identities of members of political groups from public harassment and embarrassment brought on by overzealous plaintiffs on “fishing expeditions” in civil cases.

We think this is a critical step in standing against the political and economic intimidation from the over-powered left that have infected this case since its inception. It is a step separate and apart from our ongoing litigation in Charlottesville and will be filed in a separate court altogether.

**We need to raise $10,000.00 dollars to hire the First Amendment attorney in California. About $3,500.00 has already been raised. We need to raise it within a week.**

I know we ask for money a lot on this issue but, to put it in perspective, the number of lawyers representing the plaintiffs in this case is twenty-one. They have endless resources. We have to be infinitely more resilient and dedicated than they are to stand a fighting chance. Moreover, should we fail in this endeavor, it may lead to further subpoenas that affect more of us.

I'd like to remind you all that rule 3 forbids religious discussion on this server, because it inevitably leads to useless infighting.

IE is open to Christians, Pagans, atheists, etc. so long as they're respectful, tolerant, and civil toward the religious beliefs of others within the organization. By now, we've all heard the grievances from each religious faction, and there's absolutely nothing to be gained from constantly rehashing them. We are Identitarians because we're united by our shared identity and destiny, and our strength lies in putting aside our other differences.

I've explained my views on religion in the movement further here, for those who are interested.

As Identitarians, we unite around our shared identity. This means that, internally, there is bound to be a fair amount of disagreement on social, religious, and economic issues. As a result, what is a white-pill for one person might not necessarily be so for another.

We've had issues with the <#359019358204198926> channel since its inception -- people discussing the posts in particular. Recently, people have posted whitepills that reflect their personal value systems, not Identitarianism. That's okay -- you're certainly entitled to your opinions. However, to avoid having to, on a daily basis, moderate the whitepills channel more than should be necessary, we're going to only allow moderators to post whitepills for the time being.

If you have a whitepill you're really dying to share with everyone, you can DM a moderator and they will post it, assuming it's appropriate.
