and those which aren't did suffer, but are finally rebuilding

As for Jews, they were forced into particular trades which, by chance, happened to actually be fairly profitable later on

I've told it several times before, but Jews were generally forced into prestigious trades (merchants, lawyers), which would actually be profitable later on

and not as dishonorable

thus, actually serving as a boon, somehow, in the long run
