AI is a pretty broad topic tbh, and it encompasses areas that china isn't even a leader in

and to be honest

current AI innovations are pretty underwhelming

it's funny because the news has been all about how china will win the AI race

but most people aren't actually in the AI race

AI is not the current focus

we could be doing so much more with this type of technology, especially with the economics involved, and yet we still choose to focus on things less important then America's rising debts

I mean it's not just that

even in the tech sphere

china can win the AI race but would still be considered technologically behind

in fact to be quite honest, winning the AI race at this point would be counterproductive

what other countries are working on can't just be "copied", but AI theoretically can be copied much more easily
