@everyone Do you think this server has potential or is it too ambitious? ✅ Potential ❎ Too ambitious

@everyone So this sim is set in 2035 and we all know daddy Elon Musk has started colonies on Mars at this point in time so should I add like a Mars region? Lmao.

✅ Yes, but only because I don't support unholy acts, not ugly or anything
❎ No, I am a C h a d

@everyone Should the server unite against the true enemy? The Centrists....

@everyone Should people in elected positions (senator, representative, president, governor) be allowed to switch parties mid-term?

@everyone An interesting suggestion was made today regarding the Assembly of Representatives. As it stands, I intended to just model this after the U.S. congress but that is fucking lame let's be honest here. The senate elections for just 1 senator per region was already a struggle given server size, so for representatives to be based on region membership would require many more making that even more difficult. On top of this, multi-voting makes things much harder to keep track of in regional elections. An alternative to this would be just simply one election that decides all of our reps. It would be party based and not candidate based. What I mean by this is that we have one vote where every party is listed. Everyone votes for their party (or maybe two parties to spice it up or something? idfk, just a concept atm) and then calculations are made for the total number of seats, votes and how many votes a party got. Then we could one of two things. The parties, depending on their party type, appoint or elect all their representatives based on the amount of votes their party got, or we could simply make those party votes stay as party votes essentially. So depending on party type, all of the parties 'delegates' go to a vote on a bill. This is just a rough draft, so if you vote yes to this we will do more polls to work out the specifics, but if the idea of switching it up a good bit from just regional elections for the representatives (may change them from reps to something else too) sounds good vote yes, if you want it to remain the same vote no.

(So take the Communist Party in the example shot. The 7 could be 7 representatives they are allocated and elect or appoint, or the 7 could mean 7 collective votes casted by a delegate who either votes on behalf of party decision vote or the party leader depending on the party type (in this case party leader for the communists))

@everyone The intent of the senate was originally to vote on the scenarios I make. However, upon the formation of the senate, everyone lost their shit because they couldn't propose their random ass bills. So now the senate basically proposes bills that they feel like writing. They have no context to the year 2035 and assume about 18 years of history. They vote on them, then they go into <#453983969344749568>. Then what? Nothing. They sit there. A little paragraph of text. Not that them being based on my scenarios was much different besides the element of context. The senators seem to like this system but some server members seem to find it quite pointless like I do. Bills that touch the server functionality makes these votes matter (EX: Fascists assume enough power that they can dissolve the senate or parties entirely) but most of those will result in this entire server being useless. Eventually I intend on paying for a bot to be made that could make things run pretty smoothly, but until then we really have two main options. Vote ☑ if you want the system of the senate being able to propose whatever fictional bill they want to remain and vote ❎ if you want a different system or the originally intended system of just bills based on the scenarios to be voted on.

@everyone With overwhelming support for the new assembly model, now we need to work out what the party proportion assembly actually does. The two main things I see that we can do is the delegate voting, or the many representatives. The representatives would mean that after the voting happens and the parties know how many seats that are being allocated in the assembly, either the party leader (if they are authority type) appoints members from their party to the seats, or the party has a vote for all their seats (if they are liberty type). The other way this could be done is that the "seats" aren't filled with actual candidates or people, but are rather the amount of votes a party gets. Then a "delegate" is selected, or maybe just the party leader, to vote on behalf of the party's choice. So for example, the Israel Embargo Act. The fascists support it so their whole 10 "delegates (votes)" go to supporting it. The Conservatives don't support it so their whole 4 votes goes to rejecting it. If a party is heavily split, the party can split their delegates so their vote doesn't really affect the outcome. (Nationalists are split on supporting it so 2 of their votes goes towards supporting it and 2 goes towards rejecting it. The representatives would allow more people to have a congressional positions but that would require high server membership. Also not everything would be super cut between party lines. The delegates would allow us to implement it very soon and have an assembly rolling, but it would be very cut between party lines. Keep in mind the regions will still have purpose with governors and senators. Vote ☑ if you want the representative system and vote ❎ if you want the delegates system.

@everyone It is SUPER rough-draft atm so no details, but I think it is clear that just having elections and a congress that votes on fictional shit is pretty boring and lame. After this nuclear-war provided to us by Flanon, I have considered the possibility of making this a political/war sim. Basically the political parties become political factions, parties that are large enough get like a certain cut of territory out of what will probably be a map of the U.S. (not sure of the geographical setting yet) and then somehow, using some system that will probably be implemented via a CUSTOM bot, parties can like gain territory and shit. Probably a custom map would be used that has like grids, and those grids have like certain resources or something No details worked out like I said, but vote ✅ if you like the concept of adding a bit of war to the server and vote ❎ if you want to keep it the same with elections and a congress that votes on bills.

@everyone Should I just scratch this shit and make it into a World War 2 sim (Europe, and I would prolly add like Fascist Spain to the Axis for some sort of balance)? I mean this place is just fascists and commies fighting each other anyways, with a few standard Conservative Americans so wtf why not eh? Vote ✅ For WW2 Sim and vote ❎ for keeping this post-Nuclear war sim.
