if not this year, the next election

2018-07-07 03:14:02 UTC

even their dem reps are switching

2018-07-07 03:14:19 UTC

The Democrat Governor elected in 2016 already switched party.

2018-07-07 03:14:44 UTC

I think a goal of the Republican party after we hopefully see Right To Work implemented nationally is to get the support of AFL-CIO

2018-07-07 03:14:59 UTC

At this rate, they might go the way of the Louisiana Democrat--mostly a bunch of guys who win primaries using the top-2 system.

2018-07-07 03:15:23 UTC

We're going to have to go after working class whites in order to be viable in the future

2018-07-07 03:15:43 UTC

Oddly ironic

2018-07-07 03:15:50 UTC

That would be ideal yes.

2018-07-07 03:16:07 UTC

yeah right to work will not help win moderates or working class whites

2018-07-07 03:16:12 UTC

trump needed the unions

2018-07-07 03:16:27 UTC

No, this is the thing

2018-07-07 03:17:05 UTC

I think M5S-type candidates should start running: anti-immigration, anti-gay marriage, anti-degeneracy, and economically left-wing (but not too left-wing)

2018-07-07 03:17:13 UTC

If the SC were to rule in favor of making RTW national, then AFL-CIO would have no reason to support Democrats.

2018-07-07 03:17:41 UTC

Only economically "left wing" when it makes some sense (anti-trust, tariffs)

2018-07-07 03:17:57 UTC

Sen. Kennedy seems to be a pretty good example of this: He's the most right-wing social conservative in the Senate now but he's actually economically moderate.

2018-07-07 03:20:49 UTC

So I think our strategy would be to first look into getting Right To Work enforced nationally (which suppresses democratic turnout by over 3 points), then it'd be in the interest of the unions to support the more nationalistic, pro-wage party that the Rs hopefully become after Trump's revolution has finally been set in stone.

2018-07-07 03:22:28 UTC

Indeed.

2018-07-07 03:23:15 UTC

Most people who support labor-type stuff right now are actually just living on welfare.

2018-07-07 03:27:59 UTC

i think trump wouldnt pledge to support that until after he wins reelection, but your math is good

2018-07-07 03:28:17 UTC

if its off the table it will have a huge impact nationwide

2018-07-07 03:28:38 UTC

problem is getting there is dangerous when the elections are in front of us

2018-07-07 03:34:40 UTC

Not if it's the Supreme Court that handles it

2018-07-07 03:36:08 UTC

That's the great thing about them, they have a way of getting things done that absolves legislative and presidential elections from any blame. We're not going to blame dems for picking left wing judges and they're not going to blame republicans for picking right wing judges.

2018-07-07 03:36:50 UTC

SC needs to do something about AA

i keep forgetting we now dominate the sc

2018-07-07 03:39:57 UTC

still not tired

Holy shit the salt

2018-07-07 03:41:54 UTC

I could actually see an extreme right court doing this.

2018-07-07 03:42:05 UTC

Remember this phrase and get hard

2018-07-07 03:42:10 UTC

7 - 2

2018-07-07 03:42:45 UTC

*All blacks are subjects for deportations*

2018-07-07 03:42:58 UTC

14th amendment was way worse than 13th

2018-07-07 03:43:09 UTC

Also that's definitely correct

2018-07-07 03:43:30 UTC

The Thirteenth Amendment only abolished slavery and contained an enumerated power to combat slavery.

2018-07-07 03:43:37 UTC

13 just abolishes slavery, whoop de doo, we would have done that once combines got innovated

2018-07-07 03:44:01 UTC

The Fourteenth Amendment is basically an entirely new Constitution.

2018-07-07 03:44:03 UTC

The 14th is basically grounds to wipe out all social conservatism, it's a second constitution

2018-07-07 03:44:17 UTC

It's also the longest amendment, obviously.
