As far as I'm aware, placing posters anywhere except boards explicitly designed for public advertisement is vandalism.

I have never heard of anyone get charged or anything for a poster provided it's not swastikas or racial slurs or some bullshit like that

If you feel up to it you should go for it. A poster like that should be fine, it's not even controversial. On a bulletin board you should be A-OK. Even if you put it somewhere else it's not bad
