How to confuse gun control advocates:

The first instance of gun control being implimented in the US was the Ku Klux Klan trying to make it so that black people can't have guns, thus making it easier for them to commit genocide on them

"But but but..."

2018-02-21 00:24:30 UTC

yikes

2018-02-21 00:24:40 UTC

the (D) candidate is leading with 64% of the vote,

2018-02-21 00:24:47 UTC

Nelson?

2018-02-21 00:25:23 UTC

this would be the 5th district they've flipped this year...

2018-02-21 00:25:31 UTC

no, special election, Kentucky

2018-02-21 00:25:53 UTC

oh, well, at the moment the GOP doesn't have the best name recognition does it

2018-02-21 00:26:25 UTC

Even if this blows over soon, if November 6 was tomorrow, that blue wave would be there.

2018-02-21 00:30:35 UTC

Who's the candidate she's facing

2018-02-21 00:30:55 UTC
2018-02-21 00:31:11 UTC

And if it was tomorrow, the GOP would have already calibrated to that

2018-02-21 00:31:33 UTC

I learned my lesson when watching special elections since the Alabama one

2018-02-21 00:31:47 UTC

I had a sleepless night due to the sense of defeat

2018-02-21 00:33:21 UTC

@Kevin What lesson ?

2018-02-21 00:33:33 UTC

also, no reason to get a sense of defeat from that

2018-02-21 00:33:59 UTC

you know,

2018-02-21 00:34:11 UTC

if Trump sent out a tweet, saying,

2018-02-21 00:34:17 UTC

@🎃Boo-ton🎃 You were there on that particular night

2018-02-21 00:34:29 UTC

"Hey Kentucky, Special Election, go out and vote. Thanks"

2018-02-21 00:34:37 UTC

@Red Storm (in NYC) Not to get too worked up about special elections

2018-02-21 00:34:38 UTC

this could be avoided

2018-02-21 00:36:44 UTC

Hmm, I wonder what kind of impact Trump tweeting would have

2018-02-21 00:39:05 UTC

Do Republicans forget about special elections recently

2018-02-21 00:39:12 UTC

There seems to be low Rep turn out

2018-02-21 00:39:20 UTC

HOLY SHIT

2018-02-21 00:39:26 UTC

in special elections across the country

2018-02-21 00:39:28 UTC

A **86** POINT SHIFT TO DEMOCRATS

2018-02-21 00:39:40 UTC

**_86_**

2018-02-21 00:39:42 UTC

what

2018-02-21 00:40:05 UTC

What figure is that relevant to?

2018-02-21 00:40:12 UTC

Elections nationwide?

2018-02-21 00:40:15 UTC

or Kentucky

2018-02-21 00:40:16 UTC
2018-02-21 00:41:33 UTC

lol stop acting like a Californian @🎃Boo-ton🎃

2018-02-21 00:41:55 UTC

it looks like Dan Johnson won in 2016 because of the boost he got from people turning out for Trump and voting Republican down ballot

2018-02-21 00:42:14 UTC

otherwise, it's a Democrat seat that the GOP candidate didn't bother putting much effort in

2018-02-21 00:43:01 UTC

also, Dan Johnson won by less than 200 votes in 2016

2018-02-21 00:43:30 UTC

it does go to show however, that if turnout in these special elections was like turnout for Trump, we would have BTFO in every race
