Funny thing about that russian sub pic. The props are wrapped up because the shape are highly top secret. The US is the same way about ours.

I think you misunderstood . The subs launch underwater drones, essentially long distance torpedos, that are a nuclear weapon and capable of triggering a tsunami or tidal wave. That pic was the sub , not the drone.

they keep the props on the sub covered so nobody can see what kinda props they are and what tech was used to make them

i saw a vid a while back about new cruise liners that had special props that made them silent at full speed except at flank speed

apparently the old noisy props would make the ship vibrate at faster speeds

newer prop design reduced cavitation and therefore drastically reduced the sonar footprint

They used to put fake props out in the naval ship yards to trick satellite spyers

same tech could be used for war ships
