Amazon will take down reviews when they discover the review was made by a fake account. @omnipresenthuman
That might be why they are disappearing.
Also the author chooses whether to lock reviews. That is unless Amazon thinks there is gaming by the author then Amazon will do it.

The American Government spied on Trump as both Republican candidate for President and as President elect on behalf of the Democrats.
Now as this comes to light ask yourself a follow-up question.
How long has this illegal spying been used and who were other political foes who received similar attention?
