Show me a scientific study of how this refraction works to to elevate buildings 60 miles away up into the air and make the earth appear optically flat. @nef

How I see no solid proof

2019-03-24 20:16:54 UTC

I want solid an conclusive proof please

atmospheric refraction is the deviation of light due to atmospheric conditions such as air density as a function of height. if you understand this, it is very understandable how chicago would be elevated at our perspective due to the light deviation

Everything jet is saying

2019-03-24 20:17:32 UTC

Jet

2019-03-24 20:17:58 UTC

assume the sun is the city and it works just well

2019-03-24 20:18:01 UTC

@nef ok you can copy someone's words. Now prove it.

2019-03-24 20:18:08 UTC

i just did.

2019-03-24 20:18:12 UTC

look at both images.

2019-03-24 20:18:18 UTC

No you didnt

2019-03-24 20:18:28 UTC

The buildings are not even transparent

2019-03-24 20:18:40 UTC

😂

2019-03-24 20:19:00 UTC

is chicago naturally tinted the same color as the sky?

2019-03-24 20:19:01 UTC

2019-03-24 20:19:20 UTC

woah do you notice how it's under the horizon? that also disproves flat earth

2019-03-24 20:19:27 UTC

They are not transparent

2019-03-24 20:19:41 UTC

@nef no thats how optics work.

2019-03-24 20:19:42 UTC

they're tinted. that means they are not solid objects blocking the light behind it from coming through

2019-03-24 20:20:02 UTC

Do you know how many miles that is?

2019-03-24 20:20:05 UTC

60

2019-03-24 20:20:13 UTC

Of course color change

2019-03-24 20:20:14 UTC

iirc

2019-03-24 20:20:20 UTC

60 miles

2019-03-24 20:20:25 UTC

Its blurry

2019-03-24 20:20:30 UTC

Its 60 miles

2019-03-24 20:20:34 UTC

that's due to the camera

2019-03-24 20:20:49 UTC

if we view it in person it's not going to be pixilated.

2019-03-24 20:21:13 UTC

is that an image of the ocean or the moutains behind it?

2019-03-24 20:22:01 UTC

or is that again just another example of refraction

2019-03-24 20:22:48 UTC

how many people here believe in flat earth?

2019-03-24 20:22:49 UTC

When you can show me a scientifically proven study that shows mountains popping up 3 miles into the air and the earth just appears flat. I will take what you are saying seriously.

2019-03-24 20:22:59 UTC

*appears flat*

2019-03-24 20:23:08 UTC

the earth does appear flat.

2019-03-24 20:23:31 UTC

But magic unproven refraction disproves it?

2019-03-24 20:23:58 UTC

you can see refraction in person.
