I watched that documentary flat earth clues / under the dome and it got me thinking for sure

2019-04-05 16:31:31 UTC

The top scientific proof for me, is that we do not, and cannot observe or measure any real curve.

2019-04-05 16:32:52 UTC

And we can’t experiment with it either on a model that’s a sphere, for that matter.

2019-04-05 16:33:54 UTC

All requirements of the scientific method, btw. That is what determines proof in this world.

2019-04-05 16:34:31 UTC

It’s why flat earth is not a theory, and ball earth is - because ball earth passes none of the method.

2019-04-05 16:34:46 UTC

And flat earth passes all of it.

2019-04-05 16:35:12 UTC

Observation, measurement, and experiment.

2019-04-05 16:36:34 UTC

But I've seen experiments carried out that disproved flat earth

2019-04-05 16:36:40 UTC

Done by flat earth people

2019-04-05 16:36:47 UTC

Like what?

2019-04-05 16:36:59 UTC

So I think it's jeranism

2019-04-05 16:37:28 UTC

You think he proved a curve at surface level when we can’t observe that at higher altitude?

2019-04-05 16:38:13 UTC

Please for the love of God, spare me.

2019-04-05 16:38:17 UTC

And he sets up a series of wooden poles of equal height at distances and each pole has a hole at the same spot. Then they shine a lazer through the hole. On flat earth the lazer should go through all the holes and be visible. But when they did it you couldn't see the lazer. It was below the hole because of the curvature

2019-04-05 16:38:35 UTC

That was what they said basically

2019-04-05 16:39:08 UTC

But you are right it makes no sense how you could have a noticeable curve effect at that small a scale but no visible curve in that picture

2019-04-05 16:39:10 UTC

A curvature consistent of a sphere that has a circumference of 24,901 miles?

2019-04-05 16:39:27 UTC

Right.

2019-04-05 16:39:36 UTC

OK so grant that the earth is flat

2019-04-05 16:40:00 UTC

Thank you. Glad to have you around.

2019-04-05 16:40:34 UTC

Haha thanks. I appreciate you discussing with me. I just want to know the truth. So do you believe that space is as described? Do you believe in distant stars and planets?

2019-04-05 16:40:52 UTC

I take a biblical approach.

2019-04-05 16:41:07 UTC

There’s the sun, moon, and stars.

2019-04-05 16:41:11 UTC

That’s it.

2019-04-05 16:41:29 UTC

OK so you don't believe in all the other planets?

2019-04-05 16:42:03 UTC

2019-04-05 16:42:22 UTC

There’s 4 of what they call planets.

2019-04-05 16:42:44 UTC

Different sizes and shapes of rotundity.

2019-04-05 16:43:02 UTC

Quite impossible for the distances they’re said to be at.

2019-04-05 16:43:26 UTC

OK but the saturn one there you seem to be able to see a sphere with rings around it. Can't be a star

2019-04-05 16:44:16 UTC

It definitely looks peculiar.

2019-04-05 16:44:22 UTC

But it’s not a planet.

2019-04-05 16:44:30 UTC

And it’s not a sun.

2019-04-05 16:45:03 UTC

Why not a planet?

2019-04-05 16:45:33 UTC

Because it also changes in rotundity.

2019-04-05 16:45:46 UTC

Terrestrial objects can’t do that.

2019-04-05 16:45:55 UTC

Celestial objects, yes.

2019-04-05 16:48:29 UTC

Unless some outside force effects the earth, perhaps then our shape would change. But not like what we see with the stars.

2019-04-05 16:48:57 UTC

So sun and moon are inside the firmament?

2019-04-05 16:49:20 UTC

I can only say that’s a belief.

2019-04-05 16:49:42 UTC

Though, it’s one I hold.
