They actually move in a weird pattern. FEs needed to explain seasons, so they figured out that if you have that, but the sun is also moving in a slowly spiraling pattern above the “flat plane”, then seasons can also work with that model.

I think the estimate for how far away the Sun is on an FE model is ~3k miles up, but not many FEs will commit to that as it has minimal support even in that community.

Well, if the earth is flat, then nearly by definition, all other aspects of cosmology must be false

do they agree every other body in space is flat as well?

Therefore other explanations need to be made for the sun, moon, stars, etc

Those points are:

The earth is flat.

Space and celestial science is not what NASA says.

For instance, a big point of contention is the “dome”.

Many flat earthers reference the Bible or other religious books, stating that the “firmament” mentioned there is solid.

This implies a huge dome like shell around the earth

It looks sort of like the world inside a snow globe.

They think the world continues extending on for a very long distance, an unknown distance.
