"mansplaining" can be applied to both genders
I mean, from my perspective, I suppose.
not just man
Again it isn't the same thing
By definition, “mansplaining” only applies to men, Alexandre.
yeah ik
but why does it have man in it
It’s in the term “man” which then has “splaining” tacked onto it.
If you are saying both women and men can explain to each other well duh yeah
is there a word that only applies to women
that has the same definition as mansplaining
Hmm nope
so its only directed to men
and they are the only gender that talks over a women
I don’t agree with the concept of “mansplaining” due to how easily it can be applied to any situation. “Mansplaining” inherently assumes a man’s intentions as being negative or sexist. That leads to the issue of potentially demonizing men. The most ironic case is when a man talks down to a woman, and then another man comes to the woman’s defense. The defending man has good intentions, but since he is talking for the woman and “mansplaining” to protect her, he is therefore somehow also bad, even if he knows he has more experience dealing with the aggressor and knows how to talk to him. Things like that are my issue with the concept.
Jesus, I made that long
lol
I agree
Just don't explain for women
Problem solved
Smh
and feminists are only directing it to men
Because that is what men do
Kek
wtf
so every men does that
and no women
Looking down at the other sex or simply dismissive due to the fact of them being female
You just found the issue I have with this, Alexander, as proven by Soldz’ comment.
I'm just explaining the word <:hahAA:358306291070009345>
yeah
And you also demonized men in the process.
“Because that is what men do”
Which just proves my point.
Unfortunately.
so a woman can talk over men
but a man cant
talk over women
Honestly, sure, I don’t even have an issue with that.
That's not what I said
