if u take a balloon that weighs 50 pouns and fill it with helium it has more mass than both of them and it doesnt fall at all though

2019-04-20 21:02:53 UTC

50 pound balloon

2019-04-20 21:03:07 UTC

it'd drop

2019-04-20 21:03:15 UTC

the helium balloon ?

2019-04-20 21:03:31 UTC

yeah wait no cuz

2019-04-20 21:03:38 UTC

it has more mass than the feather and ball

2019-04-20 21:03:39 UTC

well to put it simply

2019-04-20 21:03:54 UTC

gravity is the weakest force in the universe

2019-04-20 21:03:58 UTC

wait

2019-04-20 21:04:08 UTC

density is stronger than it

2019-04-20 21:04:10 UTC

u just told me the ball drops faster cause it has more mass

2019-04-20 21:04:15 UTC

yes

2019-04-20 21:04:19 UTC

That hypothesis predicts that phenomenon. And no, gravitation doesn't predict that the ball falls faster because of higher mass. Remember inertia cancels it out to equal acceleration in a vaccuum.

2019-04-20 21:04:28 UTC

also cuz its denser than air

2019-04-20 21:04:43 UTC

oh sht

2019-04-20 21:04:44 UTC

so the density of the ball and the feather matter

2019-04-20 21:04:56 UTC

yeah

2019-04-20 21:04:58 UTC

u said it was just mass

2019-04-20 21:04:59 UTC

And it does not prove a globe, it only affirms one of its predictions

2019-04-20 21:05:17 UTC

but there's also the aristotle experiment

2019-04-20 21:05:21 UTC

wait

2019-04-20 21:05:27 UTC

i can tell you it

2019-04-20 21:05:33 UTC

hang on a sec

2019-04-20 21:05:38 UTC

ait

2019-04-20 21:05:51 UTC

f=Gm1m2/d2 where is density in th is

2019-04-20 21:06:18 UTC

m1 and m2 are mass

2019-04-20 21:06:43 UTC

that calculates gravitation's force on them

2019-04-20 21:07:26 UTC

there's also density which plays a role, the stuff its made out of

2019-04-20 21:07:31 UTC

like many things

2019-04-20 21:07:37 UTC

im getting bored

2019-04-20 21:08:25 UTC

sorry this is boring i know but u gave me a formula for why the ball falls faster than the feather but theni bring the helium balloon into the experiment and now u bring a new force into play

2019-04-20 21:08:48 UTC

If you accelerate a car, you push back due to your inertia. Bring a helium balloon in the car, and accelerate, it will move in the opposite direction. That is buoyancy at work.

2019-04-20 21:09:14 UTC

yeah i kinda forgot density has a role in gravity

2019-04-20 21:09:20 UTC

well clearly u cant have a formula for gravity unless u take density into account

2019-04-20 21:09:48 UTC

Well, density is basically mass, but per unit volume, so it is directly relevant

2019-04-20 21:09:58 UTC

thats just the equation for sir isaac newton's universal law of gravitation

2019-04-20 21:10:18 UTC

idk ask him in hell or heaven or whereever he is

2019-04-20 21:10:24 UTC

whats the real formula for gravity than

2019-04-20 21:10:26 UTC

then

2019-04-20 21:10:38 UTC

thats it

2019-04-20 21:10:43 UTC

the formula that factors in density
