tell them 97

2019-04-26 19:31:26 UTC

a lot of people with phds are saying they didnt detect gravitational waves

2019-04-26 19:32:46 UTC

hello

2019-04-26 19:32:50 UTC

i do i think

2019-04-26 19:33:00 UTC

lemme just get the name up i forgot @97 Eleven

2019-04-26 19:33:48 UTC

LIGO detected it

2019-04-26 19:34:03 UTC

It used lasers to do it

2019-04-26 19:36:16 UTC

@Happygrandad and how did it actually do it

2019-04-26 19:36:24 UTC

Stating they used lasers doesnt explain anything

2019-04-26 19:36:41 UTC

Unless you actually understand the method they used you cant claim these were reliable and definite proof

2019-04-26 19:38:04 UTC

the bible says the earth is round do you guys want another crusade or not

2019-04-26 19:38:05 UTC

They use long tubes 4km long

2019-04-26 19:38:08 UTC

in a vacuum

2019-04-26 19:38:11 UTC

heretic scum

2019-04-26 19:38:30 UTC

You clearly have no clue how they actually did it

2019-04-26 19:38:36 UTC

i do

2019-04-26 19:38:38 UTC

lemme explain

2019-04-26 19:38:45 UTC

i don't know fully ofc

2019-04-26 19:38:49 UTC

i ain't a scientist

2019-04-26 19:39:29 UTC

Oh I know how to detect gravity

2019-04-26 19:39:36 UTC

Go to a flat surface

2019-04-26 19:39:50 UTC

is the earth flat geys

2019-04-26 19:39:56 UTC

Jump once, if you don't drift infinity then there is indeed gravity

2019-04-26 19:40:09 UTC

Drift into the infinity*

2019-04-26 19:40:12 UTC

^

2019-04-26 19:40:22 UTC

roses are red violets are blue

2019-04-26 19:40:26 UTC

gravity is a myth

2019-04-26 19:40:41 UTC

And your beliefs are too

2019-04-26 19:40:44 UTC

no u

2019-04-26 19:42:35 UTC

That's would be effective if I didn't have my Uno Reverse card out

2019-04-26 19:42:42 UTC

oh no

2019-04-26 19:42:57 UTC

guess ill die

2019-04-26 19:42:57 UTC

What do you think I keep in this hoodie?

2019-04-26 19:43:23 UTC

Happy has been typing for a scary amount of time

2019-04-26 19:43:36 UTC

yeah

2019-04-26 19:43:48 UTC

There is a laser diode that fires to a partial mirror, the light is then split into 2 waves and travel down a four kilometre tube in a vacuum (cos the speed of light gets affected in air), the light then bounces back after hitting a mirror and travels back along the pipe. Then the two light beams meet up in the mirror, due to the splitting of the light from the partial mirror these light waves cancel eachother out so a light detector registers as "no light detected". If a gravitational wave passes through the machine, the light would be slightly delayed and the two light beams would be out of sync (as the gravitational wave hits the first lightbeam before the other) and light doesn't cancel out so the light detector creates it

2019-04-26 19:43:53 UTC

lol sorry i explained it badly

2019-04-26 19:43:56 UTC

AH OH GOD WUT

2019-04-26 19:44:04 UTC

ah i cant read for that long

2019-04-26 19:44:08 UTC

Not another book nooooo only I can do that

2019-04-26 19:44:10 UTC

we don't see these gravitational waves but we use a technique to detect them
