2018-09-09 05:06:42 UTC

Darwin also had the approval (wasn't actively hated) of the church

2018-09-09 05:06:57 UTC

plus the quote in the beginning of the book says: "The terrestrial motion of the earth is no more than a hypothesis used to explain phenomenon and should not be taken as literal reality".

2018-09-09 05:07:01 UTC

Oof

2018-09-09 05:07:09 UTC

just sayin

2018-09-09 05:07:14 UTC

Wasn't till biblical literalism came about that everyone hated Darwin

We only wish the end was to be witnessed with our own eyes

2018-09-09 05:10:23 UTC

The end that was supposed to happen like

2018-09-09 05:10:28 UTC

Years ago

2018-09-09 05:10:33 UTC

Multiple times

2018-09-09 05:11:22 UTC

You're in a simulation in a computer in the cloud

2018-09-09 05:12:59 UTC

So?

2018-09-09 05:13:40 UTC

So... you and I don't matter

2018-09-09 05:13:44 UTC

The watchmaker argument? Oof

2018-09-09 05:13:57 UTC

Good argument

2018-09-09 05:14:02 UTC

I believe in God for a completely different reason

2018-09-09 05:14:29 UTC

Can we have an argument without kicking people lol

2018-09-09 05:14:33 UTC

I feel like I’m the only one who thinks about the matter this way who’s in the channel, lol

2018-09-09 05:15:15 UTC

@Ætos tell me

2018-09-09 05:15:31 UTC

Haven’t I told you before?

2018-09-09 05:15:42 UTC

Nvm, I’ll say it anyways

2018-09-09 05:16:12 UTC

I know you have a different reason but don't really know your stance

2018-09-09 05:18:28 UTC

I believe in God as what defines the universe. I don’t see anything around me as evidence for God except that physical laws exist. Why do they exist? I call that God. Nothing else convinces me. Nothing is truly evidence. It’s just my take. God is an impersonal Force that allows physical laws to exist. At the very least that’s how it works in my mind.
