The problem is because our society judges people's worth off their material success
It doesn't matter how righteous you are or how much good you do, people will still hate you and bad things are still gonna happen to you
and that naturally seeps into the way we think
I think someones character and virtue matters alot more in the grand scheme of things though

that's my greatest fear, that I might turn away from God when things get rough in my life because there was some large part of me that expected to "live the good life" because I Believe
I have a pretty deep faith but I get what you mean
I have nothing but respect for people who gave up their lives for the faith
you shouldnt expect to live tohe good life if you believe
that's what I'm saying
you should expect and embrace hardships
the good life comes after
and thats not counting the attacks from outside the faith
it's going to be incomparable to anything on earth tbh
once we actually get there
