I'm currently in contact with the MO Militia. I haven't officially joined yet but they seem like a decent enough group of people. They tend to set up a booth at the KCI Expo gun show (when they happen). Are you looking to make contact with them?
Because I'm not a member I don't wish to speak for them, but there is a training next weekend (this information is made public) and a JTX occuring in June - which will also include force on force training with MILES equipment.
Used to be those were member only
I wouldnt mind getting back in touch with them but i gotta get the wife more on board first
@Kato you are the militia? Lol
Id be interested in attending a training maybe. Bums me out they dont use multicam, i dont have any woodland unfortunately
i need to work on getting some woodland
> @Kato you are the militia? Lol
@PandaMedic (友好的熊猫) Nah *we* are.
Train in blue jeans and your favorite band shirt. Camo doesn't matter in a firefight.
People who think it does matter, don't matter.
^^
They’re the guys that get winded after bounding twice
They're the guys who don't know what matters in combat because they've never been.
Especially something like an insurgency.
From what i read you have a year to get the camo.
Im all about training though
But training from someone that doesn’t know who their doing is actually worse than not training
Just make sure you know how they do things
What’s up folks, new to this discord thing but well versed in other platforms. Some might know me under the FB page midwest \k\ommandos
@Kato how beneficial is this platform in comparison to others?
Oh I don't know. I think it's a little more useful for finding people near you, and nice to talk in real time.
@Kato you willing to make a trip on the 30th?
Trip where
> But training from someone that doesn’t know who their doing is actually worse than not training
@kalebdenden Just as a forward I've spent time with the guy who acts as the state commander. I've attended probably 2 meetings and spent over 8 hours with him on a trip. He says that he was a mercenary in Rhodesia a long time ago and the way he speaks I'm inclined to believe him. I've tried to research and find out if his claims are truthful or misleading but I haven't been able to nail it down. As an interesting point: we went and met an old Army Ranger who recodnized him by his name from a publication of Soldier of Fortune.
Sounds like you know how they do things. Also, green berets I think just tried to coup in Venezuela. As long as you’ve got the good kind of vet then the training should be fine
I've got a rough idea because I was active in a group in NY. I'm still not really a member yet but I have a general good feeling about them.
I think common sense applies - if someone tries to teach you something and it seems unnecessarily dumb: find new instruction.

@Schadraquetor Missouri Militia is a bunch of thin blue line fudds from what i recall
i was in MO up until this January and looked into militias
@Bender I somewhat get that impression from them. I've met a couple cool people through them though which is nice.
We ran battle drills with blanks and BFAs so I mean it's better than not getting out and meeting people.
anyone interested in doing a meetup this sunday?
I'm not certain what my plans are yet but I might be interested if a few people are down to clown. What area?
you on keybase?
There is a get together on the 30th in Montgomery city
