Did you know that even in your deodorant there are endocrine disruptors? Aluminum trichlorohydrex is no bueno. Messes with your hormones, makes you want to braid your hair and listen to Cyndi Lauper. There are plenty of malicious chemicals in toothpaste as well. Titanium dioxide affects your gut bacteria and fluoride calcifies your pineal gland. I personally would never trust a billion dollar corporation with my health or the health of my children. Toothpaste and deodorant can be made from natural ingredients in your own kitchen.

Homemade toothpaste recipe:
2 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp coconut oil or water
a bit of salt or essential oil if you wish

Homemade deodorant recipe:
2 TBSP shea butter
3 TBSP coconut oil
3 TBSP baking soda
2 TBSP arrowroot powder (or organic cornstarch, optional)
essential oils (optional)

Instructions:
Place the shea butter and coconut oil in a quart size mason jar.
Place the mason jar in a small saucepan of water and heat over low heat until the shea butter and coconut oil have just melted.
Remove from heat and add the baking soda and arrowroot if using.
Mix well.
Add the essential oils if using, and pour into a glass container for storage. It does not need to be stored in the fridge.
If you prefer, you can let it cool and pour it into an old deodorant stick for easier use, though it may melt in the summer.
It may take several hours to completely harden. This process can be sped up by putting in the fridge for a few minutes.

2020-04-29 09:52:26 UTC

@Krusk that’s awesome man! Congrats! Keep it going and get to where ever you want to be!

2020-04-29 09:54:07 UTC

Thanks

Make sure to eat some carbs still since the brain runs best off that

2020-04-29 15:27:30 UTC

Think I’ve dropped 15 pounds in 2 months from intermittent fasting and giving up sugar, still working on getting back in decent shape. Any of yall have tips on giving up dipping? I quit smoking cold turkey but can’t seem to drop chewing

2020-04-29 15:53:39 UTC

@Dcampbell It would be mind over matter more than anything man. But two thinks I've heard that can help are, those little jerky dip cans, that way you can pack your lip and feel like something is there. And chewing gum, chewing a lot of gum to distract yourself. I quit all that shit cold turkey after Korea, I'm sure you can too.

*embrace the suck*

Glad to see endocrine disruptors brought up...if yall are using non-stick pans I highly recomend you switch to cast Iron. No PFAS and it will help supplament your bodies iron intake.

2020-04-29 17:23:56 UTC

@Sparrow I’ll give it a shot. Just tough to break that habit thanks for the advice

2020-04-29 17:25:28 UTC

Absolutely, I hope it helps. Cause when shit goes down, you might not have access to a steady supply. Best to get off that shit now.

For quitting nicotine support groups have been shown to be the most effective measure find someone else that wants to quit and help each other. For weight loss support groups are usually counter productive unfortunately.

For me, it was porn. A few years ago I was a total coomer and it ruined my relationships, my self esteem, and my brain chemistry. If anyone is trying to break the habit, message me. I've been clean and sober since April 22, 2019 through a support group and 12 step program and I'm still just taking it one day at a time. Stay strong kings

2020-04-29 18:03:57 UTC

I mean no disrespect, lol I just found that amusing

2020-04-29 18:05:09 UTC

I understand, everyone I've known who can get sober has been able to laugh at their addiction 😂

2020-04-29 18:06:58 UTC

I probably need to get off the nicotine

2020-04-29 18:12:33 UTC

Set up a group man. Be the change.

@magpie_(3inch) Cocaine is a hell of drug man lol

2020-04-29 20:43:49 UTC

I’m mean I’m literally fulled by nicotine, caffeine, and self hatred

2020-04-29 22:54:51 UTC

Granted it’s not working for me loosing some weight

2020-04-29 23:29:32 UTC

Intermittent Fasting. Less sluggish after a few days of it. Also quit drinking Bangs. You’ll get rabdo and need dialysis

2020-04-29 23:30:42 UTC

Meditate on God. Lift weights. Cut out carbs. Sleep 6 hrs, shower regularly. The rest is easy.

2020-04-30 00:12:35 UTC

Don't completely cut carbs. Try switching to more wholes wheat. Completely cutting carbs risks brain damage

2020-04-30 00:34:00 UTC

Yeah, just cut the simple carbs. Get those complex carbs and cholesterol. Eat 4 meals a day.

2020-04-30 01:03:55 UTC

The body loves to run off carbs for exercise so if I am running really far I eat gummy bears. Those things are great as a pick me up

2020-04-30 01:14:38 UTC

How about gaining muscle. I've always been skinny, tried lifting and stuff but I hardly gain 2 or 4 pounds and then lose them in a bit. Any advice?
