dang

2020-04-28 15:20:59 UTC

Earth tones, baby. I want to still be able to pretend to be a good ol boy and pick up 5.56 at the local bass pro. Besides, multicam and 5.11 are "shoot me first" clothes

2020-04-28 15:22:57 UTC

^^

2020-04-28 15:25:09 UTC

When SHTF, any camo will be shot at

2020-04-28 15:27:36 UTC

You're kinda right because most individuals will assume camo means fedboi or prepper and both would have supplies

2020-04-28 15:30:02 UTC

Grey man ftw

2020-04-28 15:47:16 UTC

Best to have an outfit like your local poor people

2020-04-28 15:47:48 UTC

Man it's hard to see the lines on the camo maps.... because it's camo

2020-04-28 15:48:20 UTC

I can't see nothing

2020-04-28 15:48:22 UTC

Damn camo

2020-04-28 15:48:44 UTC

You should know where you are on that map

2020-04-28 15:49:37 UTC

According to that I'm somewhere in nam

2020-04-28 15:50:04 UTC

Noice

2020-04-28 15:50:20 UTC

Ah

2020-04-28 15:51:02 UTC

Im Not surprised about the multicam for spring/summer but the flecktarn for fall/winter was unexpected for Illinois

2020-04-28 15:52:37 UTC

I feel like there should be a grain of salt on it because there's a better than good chance that a large percent of post SHTF movement will be by highway, hence, passing through some form of developed areas where cam would cause you to stick out more

2020-04-28 15:52:58 UTC

As I said, flat earth colors.

2020-04-28 15:55:43 UTC

Agreed. That's why I'm keeping my bag gear as light and small as possible. The bugger running around with a 100lbs ruck is gonna stick out even in flat earth.

2020-04-28 15:57:19 UTC

You’re going to want backpacks that are going to blend in.

2020-04-28 15:57:28 UTC

Hence my idea on writing a report on covert attire

2020-04-28 15:58:03 UTC

Shit that works well if you have to go innawoods but won't turn heads on the streets

2020-04-28 15:58:12 UTC

An informational on covert attire would be useful.

2020-04-28 15:59:31 UTC

Probably not the best channel to bring it up, but I'll move if requested. Do you guys think that a laptop should be included with the gear? On one hand if you know your stuff, it can be invaluable for maintaining contact and infiltration, but on the other it takes up space that could be filled with a camelpack or a small MRE

2020-04-28 15:59:54 UTC

No.

2020-04-28 16:00:02 UTC

A phone works pretty well.

2020-04-28 16:00:17 UTC

Hydration is important.

2020-04-28 16:00:23 UTC

Depends on the scenario. It's more of a specialized tool. If you need it, then you know exactly why you need it.

2020-04-28 16:00:30 UTC

I was about to say.

2020-04-28 16:00:51 UTC

If you need it need it, like uploading files to somewhere where we can get them back here, yes.

2020-04-28 16:01:06 UTC

I could only see it on Recon missions.

2020-04-28 16:02:29 UTC

I'd probably wear something similar to what I'm wearing right now. Redwing boots, Duluth jeans (crotch gusset ftw) and a regular shirt, currently a polo.
Tq, shears, and keys in right pocket, wallet in back pocket, phone in right, pistol in kydex appendix holster.

2020-04-28 16:03:04 UTC

Note to self: need to get red wings repaired sometime soon

2020-04-28 16:03:20 UTC

Could ditch the jeans for something tan colored and a brownish shirt for blending a bit better with foliage

2020-04-28 16:03:45 UTC

Depends on location.

2020-04-28 16:03:55 UTC

Naturally

2020-04-28 16:04:05 UTC

Right now, literally everything is green where I'm at

2020-04-28 16:04:12 UTC

Same

2020-04-28 16:04:34 UTC

However light tans tend to take on the colors of their surroundings due to light reflecting onto them from the foliage

2020-04-28 16:04:53 UTC

You can see this a bit in asat camo

2020-04-28 16:05:17 UTC

Yeah I can see that working.

2020-04-28 16:14:41 UTC

Anyone have experience with KAC sr15?
