Interesting

2020-05-04 17:44:50 UTC

Oh, is the 5r magazine fed?

2020-05-04 17:45:11 UTC

Yeah, the 5R barrel is one of the most accurate production barrels I’ve shot. Yeah I think so. They can all be magazine fed fairly easily

2020-05-04 17:45:59 UTC

I don't know much about precision rifles, other than I have a decent one.

2020-05-04 17:49:59 UTC

Hey, whoever isnt at work right now, lets go running. 10k

2020-05-04 17:50:10 UTC

get off your fat ass with me lol

2020-05-04 17:53:40 UTC

Looking at the 700 magpul enhanced. It has the same barrel but a magpul stock and takes magpul detachable magazines

2020-05-04 17:54:28 UTC

Plus a rail for scope mounts and a bipod mount unlike the regular magpul one

2020-05-04 18:05:21 UTC

fine ill go run by myself....

2020-05-04 18:09:49 UTC

That’s definitely a good option @Artemis

2020-05-04 18:22:02 UTC

saving up for a scope is gonna be interesting lol

2020-05-04 18:31:29 UTC

Lol this man thought I could run a 10k

2020-05-04 18:38:49 UTC

I think I may save up for the scope first while doing research, then buy a rifle to mount it to

2020-05-04 18:40:32 UTC

That’s the real professional move

2020-05-04 18:40:54 UTC

That is literally, the best way to go about it, haha.

2020-05-04 18:41:47 UTC

weird, there's a few articles saying mil dot is better than moa but almost everything out there is moa. I don't have any practical experience with both, I just know moa is something like 1.04something inches per 100 yards and mil dot is what the marines use I think

2020-05-04 18:46:20 UTC

currently looking at the nightforce shv 5-20x56. I kinda want the nxs 5.5-22x56 but it's expeeeensive

2020-05-04 18:50:29 UTC

Anyone have experience with 5.11 plate carriers

2020-05-04 19:21:52 UTC

ah lovely, apparently mil reticle + moa turrets = mind numbing algebra. Going to avoid that

2020-05-04 19:28:38 UTC

Now for people to work on improving the design

2020-05-04 19:50:51 UTC

Ever look at guns you're considering buying and wonder how they can be so different?

2020-05-04 19:51:01 UTC

In this case an Enfield, and a KSG

2020-05-04 19:58:31 UTC

Oh yeah you don’t want mil reticle and MOA turrets, I ran a DMR like that for a deployment. Many math.
There isn’t any actual difference between mil and MOA, it’s the gun equivalent of inches vs centimeters

2020-05-04 19:59:02 UTC

I like the idea of mil, it sounds easier to gauge distances with

2020-05-04 19:59:19 UTC

which would be nice if anyone made one

2020-05-04 20:01:10 UTC

The only company I've found so far that makes mil dot scopes with mil adjustments is vortex

2020-05-04 20:07:23 UTC

Idk where your looking but there’s just as many mil scopes as MOA

2020-05-04 20:07:28 UTC

So I just got back and ended up doin 9 miles. Did any of you lazy fuckers go with me?

2020-05-04 20:07:43 UTC

I'm seeing a ton of scopes with mildots but moa turrets

2020-05-04 20:09:05 UTC

I did 5.6

2020-05-04 20:09:12 UTC

@Artemis are you looking at the Internet from 2012? 🤨

2020-05-04 20:09:18 UTC

I got a vortex gen 1 pst 4-16x ffp for $350 and I love it

2020-05-04 20:09:31 UTC

Yeah, I was dummy and got me a scope with moa turrets and mildots on it. It was big dumb.

2020-05-04 20:09:55 UTC

So once I have my zero, I will only be using mildots. Thank god I'm not a sniper.

2020-05-04 20:12:49 UTC

I'm looking at trijicon, leupold, and nightforce primarily. All three don't seem to make a single scope with mrad adjustments

2020-05-04 20:13:10 UTC

They have mil reticles, but not adjustments

2020-05-04 20:13:20 UTC

If you are gonna get a Mildot scope I'd reccomend 1st focal plane so you can actually make range estimations with it

2020-05-04 20:14:30 UTC

I promise nightforce and trij do.

2020-05-04 20:14:41 UTC

Idk about leupold but they should
