@Sparrow that’s mostly likely going into “gen II”. This was 30 layers combined. I’m thinking maybe 2 pieces, 5 normal layers, plate, 10 layers, plate, 5more layers. I’ll most likely leave 1/4 inch of material round the outsides of the plates so it binds nicely. Then sprayed with bedliner as a last little bit of binding.
JFC I spent entirely too much time on this thanks to some misplaced hyperfocus, but several people just had to go on about how their anderson rifles have never had any malfunctions after infinity billion rounds and everything they make is just pure fucking gold and can't go wrong.

One of my best friends back home has an AR with an Anderson lower and PSA upper. Holy shit does that thing suck. He’s had to replace so much shit on that gun and still touts it like it’s king.
What lower would yall recommend
Aero precision at least. I like them because there's a grip screw that tightens down on the wobble between the upper and lower. However, it's generally best to buy a matched set upper and lower from whatever brand you're buying, as they tend to fit the best. SOLGW has oversized lugs that are made specifically for their lowers to fit without any wobble at all.

@Bogs_Bunny civilian market will adopt it 5-10 years after the military properly adopts it (which it hasn't yet). We won't get any good rifles, gear, or ammo till then. Stick to 5.56 for the time being.

12.5 and 18 are the two barrel lengths that have done me well. Stupid accurate out of the 12.5 even at 400-500 yards. I was shocked
The military doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to adopting new rifles and calibers. I won't believe it until it's in widespread use
@Crye_Salesman I come into the same issue. Nods takes AA, laser takes AAA, sight takes CR2032, and light takes CR123s.

How are Modlites? I've never used one. Any reason you went with them over Streamlight or Surefire?
However, I think I'm gonna upgrade to a DBAL in the future if I end up getting better NODs
I'm a poor, so I'd probably run irons for a while before I could get decent optics.
Nothing wrong with that so long as you aren't one of those "Iron sights are better than optics" tards.
But honestly, you can get like a TRS-25 micro-dot and it'll work until you can get something better. They can be had for under 100 bucks easily.

While knowing how to use irons is important (in my opinion), saying they're superior to optics is ridiculous.
Everyone should train and learn iron sights first. Then move to optics. You need your base and fundamentals before you can become advanced.
And I'm iffy on Sightmark... I've used their redots before and they seem to lose zero.
And the whole 'change your reticle' feature on them is just asking to lose zero and fuck up your parallax
If you're cool spending 100 though, AT3 makes a decent red dot. Haven't ran into problems with mine.
It's not going to have that awesome Aimpoint durability. But from everything I can tell, as long as you're not using your red dot as a hammer and tossing it around everywhere, you shouldn't have an issue.
