Schools tax the fuck out of me. I've not had kids attend in quite some time.

what about for larger scale emergencies like brush fires?

which tend to involve specialist equipment which is generally prohibitively expensive

some local communities by consequences of their demographics wouldn't be able to pay for stuff like that

definitely rezoning/gerrymandering/whatever could make it easier, but that problem will probably still exist somewhere

i'm not trying to poke holes in any beliefs, just trying to understand your notion of how a society with smaller government would operate

The only case I see somewhat viable for an income tax *may* be for military, border sec, etc. Even that is iffy.

Taxing individual income is silly.
