when i first gave it a listen, i was really astonished at how mediocre it sounded

What pisses me off about deafheaven is not the music itself but the attention that hipsters give it

it's endearing, really

they've never heard anything of actual substance

The music is just mediocre. It's not terrible, just bland and boring and completely unworthy of the status it is given

this is, at best, borrows substantial sounds from better bands and fails to achieve any improvement

it's not energetic at all

the closest band i've heard to this is between the buried and me
