no, beds are a waste of money and floor space
require money to buy, more money for mattress, then a bigger apartment to compensate for the space you lost
It's your life dogg
I don't even do a floor futon anymore, I just stack random blankets
I wish I had come to the understanding of money and consumer culture that I have now, earlier, and avoided some stupid mistakes
don't we both
I recently dropped some decent coin on one of those memory foam matresses, an Ikea one so not super expensive, and it really has improved my sleep qualiry
my wife is actually entirely fine with the floor thing
Mine is fine with a second hand mattress on the floor
but partially that's because we sleep in the basement and the ceiling is low.
I spend a lot more money married than I would if I were still single, because of her
yeah
I figure because of the looming spectre of death you might as well do whatever you want
I got really lucky, mine is totally fine with me being an ultra barbarian
But I ultimately don't mind because she's a great investment.
I will never die
well yeah if death comes for all of us, what do I care whether or not I have a $10,000 BeautyFart mattress?
I'll have them put one in my coffin
^
I'll buy a bariatric fat people coffin the size of a queen bed and put a mattress in it
my thinking is that even though the specter of death looms, fags are always trying to tell you through tv and pop music that your youth is the best part of your life
It's like shit I may be dead but at least I'm comfy
when in reality, post highschool until 40 is the shittiest part of life
have you guys seen those fat people coffins?
so I'd rather just be fucking rich post 40 and i'll spend it then
not if you're in medicine lol
those are the slave years
see: why I'm trying to quit
I am never comfortable anyway, I am always sore
I don't even really care anymore if I ever feel good physically
yeah, same with law man. but the radio is always like "young forever" and "best years of your life" etc
pop music is like.... I dunno, a lot of it is exciting in how totally "let's get fucked up and die" nihilistic it is
it's trickery
"young forever" is almost true if you take good care of your body
exported culture, pay it no mind
I hear that stuff you're talking about UOC but generally only at stores over the PA
right but they just seek to equate a fully realized life with a wild night at the club
which is a waste of a couple hundred bucks
I don't think it's that though
they really push nightclub culture
