past 140-ish IQ is a poor measure anyway and qualitative differences make the distinction anyway

fortunately a brilliant man wrote a book on definition of genius
as well as why there aren't as many anymore
to summarize, a genius is a combination of a certain personality, called the endogenous personality (which covers a number of archetypes)
a personality that is inwardly directed (not introverted), not reliant on other people's validation etc.
with high levels of the trait psychoticism i.e. creativity
and high ability, i.e. high IQ and special interest
creativity does not presume psychoticism
there is probably a sweet spot for genius IQ >120-130 and maybe <170
people that test above like 150-160
I dont consider such results reliable, nor of any explanatory worth
