@diversity_is_racism ...and sticking up for your own team

@Exilarch enforced morality may not be as bad as average people make it out to be

2017-11-26 00:35:41 UTC

libertarianism rejects this and look what you get

2017-11-26 00:35:58 UTC

people taking their shirts off and dancing around at conferences

2017-11-26 00:41:11 UTC

Why does nobody ever point out that "Trending" articles are literally just global announcements/pinned topics renamed with the implication that they are organically popular at a grassroots level?

2017-11-26 00:42:05 UTC

fidget spinners are a very good example of paid viral marketing

2017-11-26 00:42:30 UTC

it definitely wouldnt have gotten so popular were it not for how much shilling was goin gon

power struggle over ring->ring gives power->was created by powerful people->who?->elves

2017-11-26 01:04:25 UTC

guy farts around with elves->omg elves worried about ring, sumthin goin down lol->omg ring gives powarr->omg elves are the ones who made it!!! Dun dun DUNNN~!

2017-11-26 01:04:53 UTC

thus, reversing the format allows working up the chain of "why?" questions to become plot twists

2017-11-26 01:05:53 UTC

Man in a desert writes a book

2017-11-26 01:06:30 UTC

man in a desert writes a book->book causes a huge war

2017-11-26 01:08:22 UTC

man in a desert writes a book->book contains esoteric semi-sorcery knowledge->book causes a huge war over how the knowledge ought to be used. Part of the struggle is d/t side effect of the sorcery

2017-11-26 01:16:59 UTC

the way the book works, you make a wish, you can get the wish, however something bad happens to you, the wish is granted in such a way that it burns you ultimately, UNLESS you sacrifice to it by harming others to offset it.

2017-11-26 01:18:53 UTC

this creates the ideologic schism. Some say that, since it is inevitable people will be harmed by the sorcery, it's important to round up the worst of society and use them as human cattle to sacrifice for the betterment of man

2017-11-26 01:19:33 UTC

THE CULLING, 427 PAGES

2017-11-26 01:19:36 UTC

other spergs say "no that's bad, we have to stop this because it's not egalitarian," however, by Maximum Power Principle, they MUST utilize the book's teachings in order to compete successfully against the other side

2017-11-26 01:20:08 UTC

It would actually be a lot like primitive tribal warfare

2017-11-26 01:20:09 UTC

so, to do the opposite of the "wrong" ideology, they make sure to randomize it as a lottery, Hunger Games style so it's "equal." Later in the book they can outright target the most attractive and talented

2017-11-26 01:20:19 UTC

You must maximize your own tribe at the expense of others, or another tribe will do it and vanquish yours

2017-11-26 01:20:27 UTC

and its not evil, its just like predators and prey struggling

2017-11-26 01:21:31 UTC

here's why the egalitarians stay in power: how much negative effect is offset is proportional to the overall quality/metaphysical value of those sacrificed

2017-11-26 01:28:32 UTC

therefore, it would be great, says assorted diversity distopia enthusiasts

2017-11-26 01:28:57 UTC

yeah and then you have the cracks begin to show and their society go to shit, and the witch hunts only intensify

2017-11-26 01:29:10 UTC

looking to burn more 100+ IQ people to keep their shamble of a world going

2017-11-26 01:30:17 UTC

you could even do it so by the time the character is on the scene, they literally have forgotten how to do anything the old fashioned way, they just know how to sacrifice smart people to the book

2017-11-26 01:30:20 UTC

"it's not that we have bad policies, it's that some people aren't getting in line"

2017-11-26 01:30:33 UTC

exactly

2017-11-26 01:30:54 UTC

GOOD IDEAS ALL

2017-11-26 01:30:56 UTC

you could set it up so the good guys win, except it's an ersatz win, a potemkin win that is slowly crumbling, and life is actually horrible

2017-11-26 01:30:57 UTC

I KEPT QUIET AND LISTENED

2017-11-26 01:31:06 UTC

It will become better if refined further

2017-11-26 01:31:11 UTC

but the fundament is promising

2017-11-26 01:31:20 UTC

the point however is that I have a system here

2017-11-26 01:31:51 UTC

Your system emulates how real things are discovered. That may be why it is effective; it uses our brains like our brains are primed to be used

2017-11-26 01:32:00 UTC

could finish this whole plot idea, reorder it so it becomes a series of discoveries and plot twists in the eyes of the reader, then render it into bullet points, submit the bullet points to a talent pool to write chapter by chapter, submit those to an editorial tank, have it done in a month

2017-11-26 01:32:15 UTC

You start with some random thing being discovered, like a book in a desert. Then, you develop its traits. This is similar to how we first see a thing, and then later, how it acts, and learn its history, etc
