but people look at classical european society with its heavy catholic influences and fundamentally misattribute the beauty, grandeur, hierarchy and organization of that society as being catholic in origin

2017-11-27 05:06:32 UTC

really what they are looking at is the results of thousands of years of living one way, building up that race and society, then suddenly slapping catholic labels on everything, and then at the snapshot in history they show you with renaissance paintings and shit, you see all of the wonderful stuff before it decayed but with CATHOLIC 😃 written on it in bold face

2017-11-27 05:07:13 UTC

hold on

2017-11-27 05:07:20 UTC

it's like having an athlete work out hard and eat a shitload of protein for 10 years, then for 2 weeks become a vegan and do nothing but meditate, and then turn around and say "his body is the way it is because of veganism and meditation"

2017-11-27 05:07:26 UTC

a lot of that renaissance stuff was explicitly religious

2017-11-27 05:07:31 UTC

I know

2017-11-27 05:07:34 UTC

that's what I am telling you

2017-11-27 05:07:57 UTC

you're saying the mass in bm would have happened without Jeebus

2017-11-27 05:08:00 UTC

i find that hard to believe

2017-11-27 05:08:12 UTC

Exilarch did you change your handle?

2017-11-27 05:08:14 UTC

Christianity and monotheism has been inspirational

2017-11-27 05:08:17 UTC

it wouldn't have happened, but something like it would have

2017-11-27 05:08:32 UTC

a pagan version

2017-11-27 05:08:45 UTC

yes

2017-11-27 05:08:46 UTC

dalit mothafucka

2017-11-27 05:09:04 UTC

but paganism was pretty degenerate too

2017-11-27 05:09:13 UTC

it wasn't only greatness

2017-11-27 05:09:13 UTC

that's not what we're discussing

2017-11-27 05:09:44 UTC

what we're discussing is the fact that "golden era catholicism" preached a doctrine that eliminated the conditions its own existence requires

2017-11-27 05:10:19 UTC

any Golden Era came far before that bogus dogma

2017-11-27 05:10:26 UTC

it requires talent, loyalty, vision and hierarchy to have that sort of catholic age/culture, but the elimination of talent/loyalty/vision/hierarchy is the logical conclusion of catholic doctrine

2017-11-27 05:11:39 UTC

The golden age of man was when we were hunter gatherers.

2017-11-27 05:12:03 UTC

well that's definitely not true

2017-11-27 05:12:07 UTC

lol

2017-11-27 05:12:11 UTC

LOL WERE YOU THERE BRO?

2017-11-27 05:12:25 UTC

fucking and sharing

2017-11-27 05:12:39 UTC

see how the topic randomly shifted?

2017-11-27 05:12:41 UTC

strong tribe

2017-11-27 05:12:59 UTC

embrace the ape.

2017-11-27 05:13:06 UTC

non sequitur retardation

2017-11-27 05:13:11 UTC

no I accept what you say @Exilarch

2017-11-27 05:13:13 UTC

that's a neat topic, if only that's what we were talking about

2017-11-27 05:13:23 UTC

tisk tisk i know

2017-11-27 05:13:49 UTC

well another thing @spacetimed is that people point to hierarchical/tribal stuff in the bible as evidence for why catholicism is fascist or whatever

2017-11-27 05:14:07 UTC

well i only say that from experience

2017-11-27 05:14:19 UTC

that catholics are sympathetic that's all

2017-11-27 05:14:45 UTC

they are entirely right about that, as far as I can tell from having read the hell out of the book several times, even the new testament was an entirely tribal guide for how the people "in the club" should be ultra super nice to each other, but blatantly listing exclusion criteria, people to kick out and not associate with, etc

2017-11-27 05:14:45 UTC

not any theological reason

2017-11-27 05:15:08 UTC

and italians actually tend to act like that, I admit

2017-11-27 05:15:53 UTC

yes i do not think universal love is possible

2017-11-27 05:16:00 UTC

the problem however is that the equality dogma their church has been pushing for the last ~1700 years is not actually in their book
