It is a simple issue. The people want "equality" and they want unaccountability in the form of "liberty" and so, they hire whoever seems to fit these desires. The People, for the sake of assured inclusion, want used car salesmen on top.

That is true. They do lack competence, though. One good source of funding for alternatives and they are done. However, realizing the severity of the fact that they do indeed have government and industry is a must for making it work. Remember Sanyo? If Sanyo JUST understood that they can't just tell everybody how good their product is and realize that everyone would do everything in their power to destroy it, they would have changed the face of comm as we know it before it even started. If The People just put down their attachment to what gave the elites power, the elites would be made toothless. Because they aren't actually elite at anything, they aren't loved and they don't know how their own products work.
