Message from !Co-Owner! in The Right Server #serious_chat
I grew up in Australia
I was a hard atheist
But here I am
Ah. I hear you. And i traveled the same road that led me here too. Lots of preconceived notions have been shed.
So you were like me and have ended in the same destination?
Instead of: I AM GOING TO MAKE THE WORLD **MY** PLACE!
I now go with: I AM PART OF THIS WORLD.
Still getting my feet wet. There are greater things out there. It's my place to observe and interpret and put my faith in another power than mine. Thus the comment above.
Ok well enjoy, I would be inviting you to a server of mine if it weren't nuked
You would be Christian within the hour
Be careful with that.
It could backfire on you.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Which sentence was corrupt
"You would be christian within the hour", moreso implies forceful measures, rather than his own choice
But that's just my 2 cents ;p
That's not how I mean
I mean the users would sway you
How so ?
They'd talk to you
About metaphysics, morals, the universe etc
And how come you haven't swayed Futurestorms yet, then?
Aren't you one of those users?
Oh yeah, so it'd have to take a longer amount of time
I was a user but I wasn't as well read as the others
@!Co-Owner! I'm not trying to deflate your enthusiasm. I am merely wondering why you need to convert me by your standard and not mine.
How do you mean
Faith and spirituality are a very personal thing.
I simply meant that the users in the server are very intellectual and they would most likely show you answers to questions you had so far as to begin your journey
Nothing less nothing more
If i really wanted to go all in, i'd visit the various churches in my area and talk to priests/clergy. Not a chat room.
I don't think you understand me
That is the next logical step. Thing is: i'm not much of a joiner.
They will not guide your faith
Would you classify yourself as an Observer or a Starter then?
