@Extra Crispy and what if those groups develop more sinister intentions than the corps?

2017-09-28 08:15:06 UTC
2017-09-28 08:15:08 UTC

increasing corporate tax to the point that they have less money to afford with lobbying would be a part of that process

2017-09-28 08:15:20 UTC

The ferrets keep stealing my fidget spinners.

2017-09-28 08:15:27 UTC

how about.......NO LOBBYING

2017-09-28 08:15:41 UTC

lmao if the NRA started becoming a real shitty group, then the people funding it would cease to fund it

2017-09-28 08:15:59 UTC

lobbying only makes what would happen illegally anyway just legal for everyone

2017-09-28 08:16:29 UTC

wait but you think the nra is not an example of lobbying groups? ever heard of weapons companies?

2017-09-28 08:16:31 UTC
2017-09-28 08:16:42 UTC

@Composers Read my PM, please.

2017-09-28 08:16:42 UTC

the NRA is a lobbying group

2017-09-28 08:16:44 UTC

Term limits.
No lobbying.
End government waste

2017-09-28 08:16:52 UTC

its the most successful example of a lobbying group

2017-09-28 08:16:52 UTC

@futurestorms sound good

2017-09-28 08:17:05 UTC

Term limits must be enacted. Drain the fucking swamp

2017-09-28 08:17:12 UTC

sounds good

2017-09-28 08:17:23 UTC

@Blood So, drain the swamp. Because that's basically what that is.

2017-09-28 08:17:27 UTC

yea

2017-09-28 08:17:32 UTC

i agree

2017-09-28 08:17:41 UTC

not to mention weapons corporations earn more from the civilian market than they ever could from the military, largely because of how we americans buy individual guns, and the military buys them cheaply in bulk

2017-09-28 08:17:55 UTC

@Blood Trump said this. You are ok with that?

2017-09-28 08:18:06 UTC

yes

2017-09-28 08:18:16 UTC
2017-09-28 08:18:51 UTC

the issue with corporations again falls back to corporations having more money to lobby than citizens

2017-09-28 08:19:43 UTC

@Extra Crispy i mean it just sound like such an ineficient way to deal with the problem "the solution to lobbying is.....more lobbying!" how about no lobbying?

2017-09-28 08:19:48 UTC

yes

2017-09-28 08:19:55 UTC

and gov is just there for the people

2017-09-28 08:20:02 UTC

are you telling me that the rich wouldn't lobby anyway regardless if it were legal or not?

2017-09-28 08:20:12 UTC

true

2017-09-28 08:20:20 UTC

that is the problem with, money = power

2017-09-28 08:20:24 UTC

are you telling me that politicians wouldn't accept those free millions of dollars to 'just do this for us?'

2017-09-28 08:20:38 UTC

money represents power, and removing money would just change how that power is represented

2017-09-28 08:20:51 UTC

@CaptainDynamite @Juan Rico how much longer do you think you guys will stay on

2017-09-28 08:20:58 UTC

until you go to sleep

2017-09-28 08:21:02 UTC

uhhh

2017-09-28 08:21:07 UTC

not much longer

2017-09-28 08:21:08 UTC

whats up

2017-09-28 08:21:41 UTC

@Extra Crispy yea, but it would remove in theory , just anybody being able to influence gov

2017-09-28 08:22:08 UTC

if you removed money, then the power would simply be the people responsible for exchanging resources

2017-09-28 08:22:22 UTC

just checking

2017-09-28 08:22:39 UTC

ironically money represnts capital, and by removing capital you just make the next best thing the next representative - the amount of resources you have
