But do you consider a free market a freedom`

2017-10-24 13:44:04 UTC

?

2017-10-24 13:44:17 UTC

Most people gives a solar clear answer

2017-10-24 13:44:21 UTC

Define a freedom

2017-10-24 13:45:30 UTC

Erhem, why don't we define everything with that?

2017-10-24 13:45:47 UTC

I mean

2017-10-24 13:45:58 UTC

we probably already have the same idea of freedom.

2017-10-24 13:46:15 UTC

You posed the question so you should know what it means

2017-10-24 13:46:27 UTC

And I do

2017-10-24 13:46:35 UTC

Then tell me

2017-10-24 13:46:36 UTC

Freedom is a nice word for privilege

2017-10-24 13:46:56 UTC

Your government gives you freedoms, privileges

2017-10-24 13:46:57 UTC

You just won't answer a simple question to mark yourself on a spectrum.

2017-10-24 13:46:59 UTC

So you're saying that if I had a free market it would be a privilege

2017-10-24 13:47:07 UTC

What

2017-10-24 13:47:09 UTC

Free market isn't a freedom

2017-10-24 13:47:23 UTC

Free market is an economic theory

2017-10-24 13:47:24 UTC

I'm asking Viking if that's his question

2017-10-24 13:47:55 UTC

The freedom would lie in the economic portion of which you can enter

2017-10-24 13:47:57 UTC

Do you consider a free market a freedom? people have different answers to that depending on their perspectives.

2017-10-24 13:47:59 UTC

Like a small business

2017-10-24 13:48:21 UTC

Yes or no is this your question

2017-10-24 13:48:40 UTC

Yeah

2017-10-24 13:48:59 UTC

Are you a capitalist?

2017-10-24 13:49:42 UTC

I think you already know the answer to that, quite so I am

2017-10-24 13:49:53 UTC

Ok well let me answer then

2017-10-24 13:55:16 UTC

If you mean free market in the ancap way in which it is open trade, no restrictions. You can sell a baby for a gun then I don't think it is, what is would be the government not restricting you. Going back to the word freedom, government interference can be good and bad. If I'm limited on how much I can trade that could be a privilege depending on the economic climate. The same goes with laws, it would be a privilege for the police to shoot a person trying to kill me however it is a restriction for me to kill the person in which I am restricted. The whole question is too complex because you have to go into economic climate, theory etc. I want to own a business so I think that it's a privilege that the government does not RESTRICT me from doing it however a free market is not a privilege. Also the freedom and privilege word is a bit hard to work around because it needs to take into account many other factors.

2017-10-24 13:56:37 UTC
