I got my monitor like august

2018-03-13 20:35:16 UTC

And had my card since December 2016

2018-03-13 20:35:21 UTC

buying a second 1070 is a bigger brained move than buying a single 2080ti

2018-03-13 20:35:32 UTC

But the 1070 is too expensive right now

2018-03-13 20:35:38 UTC

they will prob outperform the 2x cards

2018-03-13 20:35:57 UTC

They will definitely outperform the 2x cards

2018-03-13 20:36:14 UTC

That's why I'm waiting rather than spending money on another of the same card

2018-03-13 20:36:31 UTC

I've done SLI before rather than wait and I won't make that financial mistake again l

2018-03-13 20:36:32 UTC

the card market is dead either way

2018-03-13 20:36:38 UTC

the best option is getting a prebuilt now

2018-03-13 20:36:41 UTC

Until new releases

2018-03-13 20:37:00 UTC

And I have everything else in my rig pretty set so I don't have a need for a new PC.

2018-03-13 20:37:09 UTC

Anyways, I have to take a shower

2018-03-13 20:37:18 UTC

Nice and also terrible talking to you

2018-03-13 20:37:25 UTC

Goodbye

2018-03-13 20:37:28 UTC

anyway my point was sli is the only real way to achieve high hz/4k

2018-03-13 20:37:34 UTC

enjoy the angry shower <:GWjiangoPepeFedora:389447036329656323>

1080Ti versus 1070SLI

2018-03-13 20:37:58 UTC

980ti sli beats 1080ti

2018-03-13 20:38:02 UTC

1080T is more practical

2018-03-13 20:38:14 UTC

The 980Ti is in some cases better than the 1070

2018-03-13 20:38:22 UTC

But then you're limited to 6gb of vram

2018-03-13 20:38:38 UTC

And much more power draw, like WAY more

2018-03-13 20:38:46 UTC

400w easily under load

2018-03-13 20:38:50 UTC

Or more

2018-03-13 20:39:00 UTC

From just the cards

2018-03-13 20:39:26 UTC

And the performance is only a little better, but some games with no SLI support or trashy optimization it's just back to not being worth it.

2018-03-13 20:39:30 UTC

Especially for cost

2018-03-13 20:39:36 UTC

So single best card every time

2018-03-13 20:39:45 UTC

If it just comes out and you want more, then SLI the best card

2018-03-13 20:39:51 UTC

Simple

2018-03-13 20:39:56 UTC

Cya

2018-03-13 21:38:15 UTC

:p

2018-03-13 21:39:26 UTC

980 Ti in SLI beats 1080 Ti in synthetic benchmarks, you mean

2018-03-13 21:40:32 UTC

in real games, like GTA V, Crysis 3, PUBG, etc. are a different story

2018-03-13 21:41:34 UTC

Synthetic benchmarks show the 980 Ti in SLI beating one 1080 Ti, simply because synthetics have perfect scaling of GPUs

2018-03-13 22:11:52 UTC

depends on settings :^)

2018-03-13 23:10:32 UTC

I mean, I don't doubt the 980Ti's in SLI on a well optimized SLI supporting game won't outperform a 1080Ti, because they likely will, but the inconveniences of SLI outweigh the benefit unless you already have a flash shop card and "need" more performance...

2018-03-14 01:18:22 UTC

alright

2018-03-14 01:18:32 UTC

sorry for late replying but this sounds good
